Not any surprise really... But it's a good move for Logic users.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

I ask if Alchemy is now expanded in the synthesis or it's only Alchemy 1 with a new modern GUI
Nope it’s not just the version 1 on a boosted GUI. From the release description it obviously looks like a solid update in Alchemy's core too:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205047
''Better morphing. Advanced cross-synthesis now improves audio morphing, incorporating all the details of the sound (additive, spectral, formant, pitch, envelope). You also get more options in the interface.
More precise additive resynthesis, spectral resynthesis. These are really a big part of what sets Alchemy apart, and they’re vastly expanded. There are more additive effects (Pulse/Saw, Harmonic, Beating, Stretch, Shift, Magnet, Spread, Auto Pan). And you get more precise control of both additive and spectral resynthesis – the algorithms themselves have been sonically improved, we’re told. And there’s a new partial tracker, you have more editing options, and you can see everything you’re doing via real-time spectrogram. Spectral resynthesis also works in stereo now, as well, and supports masking.''

Eh? It seems you love to find excuses to bash Apple for some reason.Numanoid wrote:That must feel like a total insult to Logic usersMillerSam wrote:YES KVR Users , Mainstage include Alchemy
Mainstage has *always* included the full audio engine of Logic, including all plugins, right from the beginning. It's the *whole point* of Mainstage - to let you use Logic's instruments and effects in a live context.
No "insult" at all (weird concept), and many Logic users also use Mainstage...

We already do - we're using Logic Pro X. And it's awesome, thanks!Teksonik wrote:Anyway congratulations to Mac owners finally you've got something that PC owners can't buy (at least not anymore).![]()

How do you reason that? What if you are on OSX user and have got Cubase not Logic?beely wrote:Eh? It seems you love to find excuses to bash Apple for some reason.Numanoid wrote:That must feel like a total insult to Logic usersMillerSam wrote:YES KVR Users , Mainstage include Alchemy
It seems you love to find excuses to bash anybody who should say anything a little out of order about Logic/Apple

I don't understand what you are trying to say here...Numanoid wrote:What if you are on OSX user and have got Cubase not Logic?
They could spend thirty bucks for MS and have access to all of Logic's FX and instruments, including Alchemy 2.0 (which they'd have to use outside of Cubase). Or use what they have in Cubase that Logic users don't have and be happy with that.
No, I just made (one) post about you as I'd just read through three posts from you all having a go at Apple for odd and rather uninformed reasons. As you were...Numanoid wrote:It seems you love to find excuses to bash anybody who should say anything a little out of order about Logic/Apple

"Browse and load Alchemy 1.5 presets (some presets may sound different than in 1.5)"
And you can still use Alchemy 1.5 in Logic alongside Logic's version as well.
