GR Meters in mdynamics are not resetting automatically

Its always been like that I think. It is the maximum gain reduction.
Maybe 2 values would be better? 1. with maximum GR and 2. with GR that resets every 1 second or so?

That's not normal. Other compressors I use are resetting automatically all the time.
With melda dynamics I have to reset manually by clicking the value.
Please Vojtech change this strange behaviour.

What is "normal" after all? I also see this behaviour as intended - like jmg8 wrote: it is the maximum gain reduction. Maybe there will be an option in the future which allows the user to chose what this value shows?
System: Win 10 64 bit / i9 9900K (8x 3.6 GHz) / 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM / 1TB M.2 SSD + 2x 500 GB SSD / RME Babyface / Reaper

When working with dynamics audio processors the gain reduction should at least show the current changes in dynamics.

Yes, I noticed the same behavior of the GR Meters in mdynamics (with compression) and it should be changed.
It makes no sense this way since I want to see what´s actually happing at any given moment
(Not (only) maximum GR).

Hmm, my comment previously was when the plugin was acting differently to what you're describing: my GR meter was totally broken, your complaint is about having to click to reset. I personally like how it currently works, you make changes to the compressor, reset the GR meter and then see what the max GR amount is. If the number is changed to be constantly updating, you get no 'max' amount and have to watch it constantly to get an understanding of max GR. If your issue is that you want to see what the current GR amount is, well, that's what the graphical meter is for!
Just my opinion

I completely agree with vectorwarrior. If there is some problem, that needs to be fixed, but maximum GR is the reasonable choice - everytime you change the settings, you can reset it and the maximum gives you the interesting number, the most brutal gain reduction, not actual GR. Just imagine quick attack and release... there would be no information in that number whatsoever. And you also have the meter itself and the timegraphs...

Ok, no prob. Than it would be nice to collapse the easy screen window. For me this metering is obsolete. I often try to get a gr of 3-6db. But this I can't see. The only value I see is -6db. Therefore I don't need a big, huge meter, only a value is more than enough for this info. My opinion about this.

Hmmm, I don't follow, what you want to hide?? Why?? Why on earth do you consider it obsolete??

Maybe it is only by habit. Looking at a frozen gr value feels incorrect. I think we talk enough about it. Now I know it works like designed and that's ok.

Hi Vojtech,
I have to say sorry, but after comparison with some other compressors I saw yours is not the only one reacting this way.
So, SORRY again!
Your last modulator video shows again what power and possiblities are inside your plug-ins
Go on creating great plug-ins. Sorry for interruption!

I have to reopen this thread. Can you take a look at the attached video and the gr meter inside reacomp. I think it´s much more informative with it´s changing values!?
