I really didn't expect the new transform modul to arrive this early...more like next year around :p just wow- that was fast!!
And the quality is, like always, superb.
BUT....
...I'm still missing something...maybe it's there somewhere
Will I be able to load a specific wave or soundprofile to use as the modulator for another sound?
For example: I have a specific sound in mind, that I need to build - like:
a flute or a piano that sounds like "several needles falling on glass", but with that distinctive flute or piano sound.
How do I get there with MTransformer?
Or another:
Someone is speaking, but his voice needs to be modulated by someone elses voicebox.
If a specific outcome is needed...is it possible to get there fast, and how so?

Thank you folks
Batty: This is not MMorph yet
. This one is not about modulation something with something else, but transforming the spectrum somehow, hence MTransformer

This is the second assurance MMorph is coming.MeldaProduction wrote: Batty: This is not MMorph yet. This one is not about modulation something with something else, but transforming the spectrum somehow, hence MTransformer

I have been waiting for a Zynaptiq's offer on theirs for over a year now, and so have been preparing myself for jumping on a 30% BF offer this year, in case they finally decide to discount it...
///However, with MTransformer out, this additional MMorph hint and seeing how Vojtech is getting to grips into applying AI to formants, I would already require a 50% discount in order to get Zynaptiq Morph2 this 2015.

Yeah, I'm hoping MTransformer is the first step towards MMorph. It makes sense because it presumably has to work in the spectral domain. I've tried out Zynaptiqs Morph 2, having used the original Morph for years, I was expecting it to be a little better given how old the original is now.
When it comes to spectral processing, there is always the balance between low-frequency resolution and time resolution (i.e. you have to choose between having bass or having transients, you can't have both)... if someone can nail both they win
I wasn't blown away with Morph 2's ability in this regard. I was planning on doing a multiband approach in MXXX with MTransformer using different spectral settings for the different bands to see if I can resolve this, but haven't had time yet.

I don't understand how low-freq versus time resolution comes to play here...vectorwarrior wrote: When it comes to spectral processing, there is always the balance between low-frequency resolution and time resolution (i.e. you have to choose between having bass or having transients, you can't have both)... if someone can nail both they winI wasn't blown away with Morph 2's ability in this regard. Personally purely from long observing sound waves and the various spectral tools coming to be (not from a dev perspective), I would guess that "win" -as you say vectorwarrior-, will come from the ability to disentangle those blurry areas where several sounds share similar spectra, regardless of their freq placement.
Therefore it is not so wild guess to say that independently acknowledging and controlling the formants from each different sound source, which could be derived from similar patterns in other frequencies, hence knowing how sound spectra slides thru the scales for each sound source or being able to de-reveb or de-effect each sound, appears to be relevant in order to achieve this.
///Morphing needs to get each different sound formants gradually closer until they match.
Once this is achieved, its applications will be really powerful, besides we are already getting closer. Sony's Spectralayers has several photoshop-like graphic tools to select portions of the sound in the spectral domain, what we still need there is more intelligent "magic wands", hopefully with many parameters user configurable, Melda Style

Hey, Simon, your dad would have gone apesh*t over MTransformer, no? Not too mention a bunch of his contemporary composers as well.Sampleconstruct wrote:...and some piano mangling with 4 LFOs involved:

Simon: very inspiring stuff you do with Meldaplugins. Thanks for that a lot!

Most probably, but that counts for a lot of today's instruments, after all my dad's electronic evolution stopped with the EMS 100.dmbaer wrote:Hey, Simon, your dad would have gone apesh*t over MTransformer, no? English horn phrases from my composition Immanenz processed with Melda's MTransform, the breathing noises create some strange artifacts, but actually I quite like them.

Vojtech, I haven't thanked you for this plug-in yet...well consider yourself thanked!!!
Wow, two new free plug-ins recently, that is pretty cool man.

I just want to thank you for MTransformer, and its introductory price. Installing in Cubase 8 on Win7Pro was a breeze, and so was activation. Perfect.
