Seems they removed upgrade options from version 5->7 now, at least I don't see any in my account, there was still an upgrade offer to version 6 in my account last week. Whatever, version 5 still works fine, so....

They have some issues with options in the account. For instance in my account I can see an upgrade from Ozone 5 to 7 for 700 bucks :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:    :D :D :D

I'd rather just buy the new full version then

 That's what you call a monster-bargain! 100 bucks for every full release version, that's only fair though.

So the Advanced version adds 3 vintage things (which I can perfectly live without), codec preview and the intelligent visual metering, all the other things exist in both versions, so the dynamic EQ is now also available in the standard version. Pity they didn't re-introduce the gate in the multi-band dynamics section, I can live without the Ozone 5 reverb anyway.

Fair play to you, sir :-)

I'm going from 5-6 (with free upgrade to 7) so I'm with you on the '2 versions' thing.

Hi,

I have izotope 5-Advanced. , there doesn't seem to be any upgrade special deal to version 7-Advanced. What's the deal here ? no deal ? ... ?

I checked my account, and there is no Upgrade Coupon for Version 7. I wonder if they are having issues setting accounts with the correct coupons.

That's an error. The correct upgrade prices are all outlined here: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/mix ... e/pricing/

If you have any further issues with coupons in your account, please contact our Customer Care team via support@izotope.com.

Thanks!

The vintage EQ are not user friendly.

I was excited to see that they got away from using the same faux hardware look, but in place of the knobs are, radio-dial selectors that have to be clicked on to switch frequency positioning. This is actually annoying, since a knob is easier.

I don't get their thinking on workflow for the plugin.

If you’re eligible for an Ozone 7 upgrade, please take note: we’re experiencing some delays with our back-end, but your special offers will be in your inbox within 24-48 hours. Our apologies for the inconvenience!

I'm not really interested in the new features, having just purchased and won bids on Satin & Presswerk i think all my "vintage" mixing needs are more than covered.

I still got version 5 and i don't see the need to upgrade at all. Eventually my plan is to purchase DMG audio EQuilibrium for the various filter types so i would rather save up for that.

Im not really a mastering engineer, nor do i plan on becoming one but i do appreciate having ozone to make quick mixdowns. Having said all that, ozone in any version is a considerable bargain, but if you have the luxury to create your own mastering chains with other plugins then it might be worth considering instead.

You can use your mousewheel for scrolling thru the frequencies.

What I miss is a per band bypass. That would be nice to have. Plus it would set the Vintage EQ apart from most other Pultec emulations.

Very good to know... Will try that out. Think I would still prefer to click and drag as an option too.
