How do you know all this?
Is it explained somewhere?

On that MXXX link I suppose just add an "M" in front of the plugin?
IIRC I had seen the complete MXXX list of the plugins somewhere
but have not been able to find it again.

So in the case of the MCharacter it is not included in Mxxx.
https://www.meldaproduction.com/MCharacter
it can only be used as a separate VST.

Sorry for all the confusion.
It seems I am the only one here that is un-informed.
Oh, well!

I looked on the MXXX web page but could not find it, so I looked in MXXX itself
;)

"Character" is available as a processor (module) inside MXXX. If you want you use it as an individual plug-in then you need MCharacter (as on your link above).

Just to mix things up, if you had MXXXCore https://www.meldaproduction.com/MXXXCore, owning a licence for MCharacter would allow you to use the "Character" processor within MXXXCore.

I was finally able to review my Melda Installation in Bidule.

I have 34 free plugins from the MFreeFXBundle which are not usable in MxxxCore. I cannot find the 6 Paid fx in the MXXXCore. Looks like best for me to us the 34 and 6 as independent VST fx. The MxxxCore was a bad purchase I made unless I purchase many more Melda plugins and then it will be more attractive to use. Am I partially or mostly correct here?

My Licenses:
MXXXCore
MFreeFXBundle
MSpectralDelay
MUnison
MTurboDelay
MTurboComp
MTurboReverb
MGranularMB

MSoundFactory

Post

there is no MTotalBundle

Looking at the Unlock table on the MXXXCore page:
  • MSpectralDelay is not mentioned, but I reckon it should unlock the SpectralDelay processor
  • MUnison should unlock the Unison processor
  • MTurboDelay is not mentioned, but I reckon it should unlock the TurboDelay processor
  • MTurboComp should unlock the TurboComp processor
  • MTurboReverb should unlock the TurboReverbprocessor
  • MGranularMB should unlock the Granular processor
  • MSoundFactory is not mentioned, but I reckon it should unlock the SoundFactory processor.
I suggest that you contact MeldaProduction directly via their Contact Form, that that they can have a look at your Account.

And. nudge them to update the web page.

I am very new to Melda products but looking forward to checking them out.

Still my question is am I better off using the MFreeFXBundle and the six plgins as VSt's
MUnison
MTurboDelay
MTurboComp
MTurboReverb
MGranularMB
Or using the Mxxx core with the six plugins without any of the MFreeFXBundle plugins.

My feeling is to not use the MXX core perhaps because I do not know the benefits of using it with so few plugins.

Would love some feedback.

But then when I finally install the Melda Sound Factory with the full MXXX I may then see the light?

Post

It all depends. ;)

You can think of MXXX Core as a wrapper for the plug-ins you have plus various building blocks ,utilities etc . The pic on this page https://www.meldaproduction.com/MXXXCore may (I'm not sure) show those modules that are included.

With MXXX Core, you can:
-- optional multiband operation,
-- build various FX chains,
-- modulate multiple parameters in multiple plug-in modules in sync,
-- control (via Multiparameters) multiple parameters in multiple modules,
-- build your own Easy screen GUIs from those Multiparameters, so you have just the controls that you want.

You can, of course use them either way, as separate plug-in or within MXXX Core. And, start saving up for MXXX ;)

DarkStar,

Thanks for your very informative post. :tu:
That was the reason I bought MXXX Core was the included modules.
When I very briefly used MXXX Core I was constantly reminded that I am missing certain modules.
Ok, it make sense to use MXXX Core with the six purchased plugins.
Knowing me though I will like then not use the MFreeFXBundle.

When I finally install the Melda Sound Factory with the full MXXX I maybe then start saving for it.

Post

really, because of XXX, people assume the largest set of plugins, but MXXX is just a wrapper for combining several melda plugins

Post

largest bundle - MCompleteBundle - 127 plugins

^^^
How many plugins does Mxxx have?
Mxxx does not have any instruments.
Which fx is Mxxx missing?

Post

MXXX is a modular beast containing lot of Melda's effects! 70+ plugs! synts? yeas! Melda inserted the full power of MPowerSynth into MXXX. MDrummer?- not.
Mxxx alternative - MXXXCore have all of Melda fx plugs you installed, its a wrapper, you can chain multiple effects in Mxxx(and MXXXCore) , and use only one plugin slot(for Mxxx or MXXXCore) of your DAW
