Looking at this UI on my iPad, the colors look less dark and contrast is better. Have there been color changes already? If not, my PC monitor may be too dark.

Look at the Key Follow fader in your UI quickly. It's almost camouflaged. The tighter line spacing you use on the VCF faders make the Fader caps stand out out more when compared to the ADSR where the printed lines are further apart.
Ah! I missed that link - sorry!

Thank you so much for your extensively review. I really take this serious. There is a intensive long design process behind this thing and I am very satisfied that I brought it to the point. Reviews like yours will bring the last twist to do some fine-tuning in the end.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Take as much or as little of this feedback as you deem valid. Keep in mind monitors vary greatly (I'm looking on a 23" ViewSonic IPS panel display), so it could be just me. I'm no UI/graphics expert by any means....

Good arguments. I think I will change some details here.EvilDragon wrote:My comments for now are very simple:
* I agree with shadows on knobs being a BIT too much. Tone them down slightly and it'll be perfect.
* Simple wording changes: GLIDEMODE should have a space between those two words. If it ends up being a bit tight, I'd change MICROTUNE to TUNING
* UP and DOWN don't mean much. Perhaps stylize it like this: UP - BEND - DOWN
* Similar with accuracy mode. Perhaps: LIVE - ACCURACY - RENDER might work better?
* I'd like to reduce the wording of RATE/QUARTERS to just RATE. I hate it on the original skin, I hate it here as well.
Some of these are a bit subjective, I agree. But...
Aaahhh, you have exposed my idea, was planning this for a future update.EvilDragon wrote:I think going skeuomorphic and using the panel styles of the actual synths that are modelled in Diva is jackpot.

U-he should hire you! I'm looking foward to the release!

Really can't wait to use this. I think going skeuomorphic and using the panel styles of the actual synths that are modelled in Diva is jackpot. I wonder how JP-8000 oscillator looks?
If I may add to these points:
- Lose the hardware midi plugin at the top right of the GUI. It interrupts the Sleek GUI to much and adds nothing (as you can already see the midi indicator light with a midi symbol next to it; that is sufficient and clean)
And skeuomorphic definitely seems to be on the money for a synth like Diva (but less so for Zebra imo).

Just to update, I'm back on my PC and it looks dark. On the iPad, the contrast is better. Putting them side by side, the UI on the iPad is a bit dark but much more usable than the appearance on my PC. I'm going to venture to guess the colors on the iPad are better calibrated and probably closer to what you're seeing, but if they're too dark on my screen, others may be seeing it the same way too.User Data wrote:Thank you so much for your extensively review. Calibrate your display, definitely. Doesn't look too dark here.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Just to update, I'm back on my PC and it looks dark. On the iPad, the contrast is better.
