Sorry anyone has to deal with this kind of crap, but also feel sorry for the people who feel compelled to do it. Can't imagine being that hostile, over something so trivial.

I've thought a lot about this lately and I think we're in the age of "fake outrage." People outraged about transgendered people pissing in their favorite bathroom. People outraged that convicted sex offenders aren't punished as hard as they imagine they should. People outraged that a dentist killed an old lion in a safari he thought was legal. People outraged that illegal aliens and overseas workers are willing (or forced) to work for much less than they are. Developers that force megabytes of data down your pipes with a knife at your throat.

My theory is that it's easy to get outraged at those people, but hard to be outraged at the people who are really f'n you over. Companies and governments that are poisoning your water supply to save some money. Companies that move their offices overseas to avoid taxes and move their manufacturing to other places where workers are forced to accept $1.40 a day and live in a dorm so their investors can get an extra few dollars per share of dividends each quarter. Insurance companies who tell you your emergency life-saving procedure isn't covered and now you have a debt the size of a small house to pay off. Yourself, that instead of working hard to obtain what you want, sits on the sofa smoking pot and wondering why everyone's out to get you.

But how do you go up against those entities? It's nearly impossible. At best you put your faith in a politician who screams the loudest about how they're going to fix it all.

The funniest thing about that guy's venomous post is that he's wealthy enough to buy a computer that can run amazing software like the one's Melda produces, but pissed off about his monthly data charges? My guess is he's so alone and addicted to internet porn that most of his extra money gets spent on those data charges. So sad.
