Well, maybe this is the issue?
I was also thinking about that but I still run 32-bit mainly because I have many nice old plugins that does not run on 64-bit. Some are free and stuff I use for OSC. I will try the 64-bit just to see if Helm behave or not

Edit: I just tried 64-bit and this is what I got. And it crash. All I do is play on my midi keyboard while scrolling thru presets

64bit 0.8.5 works fine here in Renoise 3.1 64bit OSX.

Made some minor start, dunno what direction, 3 cheesy parts in here:

I want to coop with a fellow, but I am afraid he is not here on the forum yet.
What do the rules say in such a case? Can I name it "HM & Follow - song title" and everything will be fine?

Also trying to make a good lead, but failed so far.

Thanks bj! And regarding my question, does my fellow need to be here in the forum, too?

Hanz Meyzer & Follow is technically the way, but HM & Follow works if you submit it.

Oh man...Helm is one of those synths that would send me flying out of the gate with excitement and I already know that that's a dangerous thing. However, just playing around with it it has some great sound and clever concept! I sure hope it won't bite me half way into it.
Thus far, though, I'm 100% impressed! 8-)

Tip; if you click the Helm logo in the upper left corner you get a splash screen. On the bottom of the screen there are a couple of boxes to tick. You can turn of animations to save a few cpu cycles.

Hmmm, wanted to check out Helm as it seems like a cool free synth (not sure if actually entering, still, though) but... I can't get it to show up in hosts either.

Live 8 (both 32 and 64 bit) silently refuses to show it, and Reaper (64 bit) throws an error of a mising dll on first scan, then keeps it out of sight on further restarts.

Is there some magic procedure to make it work? :)

Hmm, did an uninstall and reinstalled the 32 bit version in this specific location, and did a rescan. Live still isn't picking it up. Everything else I place there scans okay.

Crap! :tantrum:
After the "tip" to check the splash screen for checkboxes, I noticed that I don't have those boxes. That made me think I might have missed an update, went to download the latest and now it doesn't run anymore, saying there's a missing dll.
(64bit)

Why, oh, why did I do this... :dog:

I'll see, if I can hunt down the dll, but it's a strange one:
api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll

SOLVED:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... st.x64.exe

And I should add that this has been a massive update from the version I still had. Wow! :hyper:

Here's the 32bit version:

Giving it a shot now...

Failed... :(

Over here, that did the trick! Thanks, Taron! After installing the correct vc redistributable, Helm is now recognized in hosts like it should. Also loads and opens the GUI fine.
