I still think you are missing it. The lines you are talking about in the Melda plugin are not used for the same purpose as the white lines you are showing in other plugins. The Melda lines are not LINES. They are controls. Hey are not supposed to extend in all directions all the time. Changing them to regular white lines like you are asking would indeed break what they are supposed to do.Svama wrote:A white line more breaks someone's workflow, really?

Ok, so what can you control with these?
I'm not talking about the handles for changing the q and dynamic function!!!!!
The white lines already exists in Melda eqs!!!!!!! Hardly noticeable and they are only left and down of the node!!! Am I the only one, who can see these? Like I said in an old thread, please more visible and in all four directions. Should be possible and a little help for adjusting the right frequency of resonances. Please god, let them understand

Ok, I understand, but you know Svama, don't ask god and rather define it more obviously next time. You said it is going down, left and right, which is NOT true!!! Not a surprise that nobody understood then.
Anyways I don't like the idea. More lines means more cluttered display => less user-friendly. Now the lines are pointing to the axes, so there's a good reason for them. But I don't see any reason for them to go up and right. But feel free to create a poll. If people would like the idea, no problem. But currently I don't I'm afraid.

Sorry for that, buy maybe you can change the direction. I think the line up does more sense then down, cause your frequency graph will be most of the time above and not under the node! Especially when using the normalize function.

You said that the lines go left, right and down. But the lines you are referring to only go left and down.Svama wrote:Hi Vojtech,
after a short down I decided to go further with Melda and don't wanna sale them anymore. So, back for fr. But an easy one. Is it possible to complete the cross (white lines round the frequency node). These go only left, right and down, up is missing, with the infinite graph it would be useful too for resonances.

That was a mistake, like I said, sorry for that, but no four lines talk. So I never could mean the four handles for q and dynamic, that would be stupid!

I don't follow Svama, I didn't talk about four lines, I wrote about up/down/right not being true. So much for "Carefully reading is important."
.
As for the analyzer argument - that makes sense! But still "right" doesn't seem to make sense to me. Or any ideas about that?

I agree that up makes sense to line up with the frequency graph. Right has no use I can think of, however visually it would look odd in only 3 directions. I think all four would look better, like a crosshair. Maybe to avoid clutter, it could be an option to turn on and off, in the analyser settings?

Would be great to activate, show these lines only for the one node you're working on and not for all activated nodes, so no clutter. Maybe also for the handles for q and dynamic. At the moment it's difficult to work with nodes which are nearby to another node. Difficult to change the right handle for q!!! I hope you will understand.

Actually it depends on the situation - for example when you are working with resonances and you actually use an analyzer, it's good to see where the other bands are, so the lines should be visible all the time imho. I'll add up. I think it's fine to leave the right one invisible.
