Latest (2.85) Synthmaster Player crashes the host!

So i've been happily using Synthmaster for several years (2.6 and previous) on my Macbook Pro (Sierra) with Ableton Live (now the latest version).
I've got lots of music projects in progress all heavily using synthmaster however.......after upgrading to 2.8 the plugin totally crashes Ableton every time.
The minute i try and load the plugin Ableton quits.
I've removed the versions of the plugin and reinstalled and still crashes. Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it. KV331 support is basically non existent.
All my support requests have gone ignored so now stuck not know what to do! $350 waste of money at the moment. Someone please help!!

So it was user error and, despite "happily using Synthmaster for several years", you haven't wasted your money.
