Is there a reason why the stand alone MPowerSynth is not part of the total bundle since it is already included in MXXX?
Because total bundle is a total Effects bundle.

Correct. When creating the bundle we got into a problem - many people already bought MDrummer, which would have to be added to the bundle otherwise, and that would create an obvious trouble. We also didn't have upgrades then... So we rather let bundles to be effects only. After all at that time there was just one instrument.
