My goal is to bring feature to MuLab that people even now appreciate or at least do some work on workaround so there's something close to it, I can just look on the paper on my desk or document that's not the point, this feature is for other people too and there are plenty of those people.Michael L wrote:Your goal is to learn a seven-note scale, but we all learn differently. I like learning-by-playing. Maybe renaming keys on a DAW piano roll isn't the best way for you to learn those notes.
If one wants to cater to them, than one needs to do something about it, not serve them workarounds only, they want to have fun and do stuff easiest they can, it's not a crime if they pencil in everything or don't know anything more than bare basics of music theory, if one tool can give them results and cover them there, that tools is all they need, if one wants to make MuLab to be that tool, than one needs to get with the program.
But I'm tired of this, gonna distance myself and enjoy in vacation. Have a blast everyone.

I've reread your post. Note that what you request is already the case: If you leave the note name blank then the default name will be the key name.Zexila wrote:My suggestion is just to have an option to put the name as a key, so instead of us needing to write or copy/paste all the notes names, can we just have an option there to use name as the key it's on, that could speed up this whole process quite a lot, so again, if key is C6 where we want to enter a name, we should have option to use that as a name (so C6), there could be some button for it, if not, one can enter desired name, as it is now.

That's great, but sincerely too late for me now, that simple answer could really make lot of difference back when I felt good about spending my free time on it, gave up from it at that point.mutools wrote:I've reread your post. Also it wasn't my intention to push that FR, just wanted to have an simple answer is it doable or not (specific thing I asked, not actual FR), any sing of good will, but didn't received that, understand you have lot off work to do and stuff flying all over you head, so no hard feelings from my side.
