who speaks french around here? I need help with that one... :o david? :help:

I did test it in plogue and it rocks there too! but the screen updates are really slow for some reason. BTW, who knows if I'd even build these things if Plogue didn't use Open-GL (which is insanely slow on my laptop -- probably due to it's 16bit video card)

Plogue is my inspiration! :D

Currently, it just saves the file location.. not the actual sample. Is there any reason it should save the entire sample? I think the DS-404 does that, and I always remember people complaining about it.

I'm open to feedback on it! Saving the file location is easy... saving the sample itself, I dunno. Seems like it might make loading a project kinda bloated.

Plogue is my inspiration!
Being a (newbie) Bidule user I'm really interested in this sampler concept:
Could you make a bidulegroup-file (.bgrp) available,
so I can retrace yr idea.
That would be great!

Thanks.
Tobias.

Great stuff Modulr where can the building blocks be downloaded or are they not available yet?:?

I know you had a thread some time ago on them but can't remember if there was a download or if you were still testing the plugs.

I speak French, yet I don't understand the "chausson" thing (and btw, yes, for those who wonder, I'm still translating valley's excellent guides... only I have been quite lazy on the rack parts... *goes back to work*)

I speak French, too, and though I'm not 100% fluent anyhow, I didn't recognize the word. Babelfish tells me it means "slipper"...

But my linguistic sense has me wondering if the author meant "chanson" (song)?

In any case, it would be:

"A slipper/song with that?"

Nope, I know chausson (actually, I am French, I admit this helps a lot).

It is indeed a slipper, but also a bakery thing, think of it as an apple stuffed cake.

Our friend so would have said "fancy a piece of cake with that" ? Yet this slips out of my understanding. Is it to say that Mod did sooo much that he could also make us some cake : nothing is impossible for him ? In France, the same kind of sentence relates to someone that is demanding too much ("don't you want a piece of cake to ?"). I think my first explanation is right.

Hard to tell, but I think I got the idea. Hope you understand too.

And btw Mod, I'd surely would like a piece of cake with your next release.

what the hell is that? well, it's two new building block components! Finally, the building blokcs have a slightly more practical use with these new comps. The accumulator can be used to advance a value on per sample basis. This in turn can be used to position the playhead in the sampler. What does that mean? all sorts of esoteric biz... you have full control over the playback head on the sampler. It goes where ever you tell it... forward, reverse, jumping, whatever speed, etc. You can make it loop between the in and out markers.. and then you can make the in and out markers move as well by having them advance their position by being attached to yet another accumulator. Make the in and outs real small, then attach the in/outs to an new accumulator, and you've got a dirty granular sampler. Lots of fun stuff I tell ya!

I'm finishing up a step_trigger building block, that when used with the above will let you build a beat slicer with the rack filters. Oh boy, good times for those not scared of the racks! :) Sorry, I'm a bit excited..
