Is Time shaper only a shaper box module? A bit confused as I am just about to purchase , I have all the others but the upgrade price is different to buying the Time module separately.

Would it be possible to have a "Smoothing Knob?" The way it would work would be like this: it would identify the 90 degree points in the waveform, which is where the clicks come from, and increasing the smoothing knob would add a slight angle or bend tot those 90 degree points. If the user wanted to quickly undo that, they'd just turn the smoothing knob back to zero. So increasing the Smoothing knob would just kind of soften the edges of the waveform a bit but a user defined amount.Jakob / Cableguys wrote:We're actually considering to add a "Smooth on MIDI Trigger" option - which will smooth the wave when you play a MIDI note.
For all other situations, I think it's better to simply tweak the wave, until there are no more clicks. With a generic smoothing knob, it's unclear what the resulting modulation wave looks like. By doing it manually you have more control and can adjust it perfectly to the situation.
This would speed up the workflow for when you want a hard-ish square wave just without clicks and pops. The effect would be visible, so I'd know what the waveform looked like, and it would be completely non-destructive for when I went too far.

Yes, TimeShaper runs inside ShaperBox.woodsdenis wrote:Is Time shaper only a shaper box module? A bit confused as I am just about to purchase , I have all the others but the upgrade price is different to buying the Time module separately.
If you already have plugins from us, you can upgrade to the ShaperBox Bundle (as well as to the Cableguys Bundle) at a lower price.

Thanks Jakob!Jakob / Cableguys wrote:We're planning to release the update on Monday - if nothing serious comes up (aka if no serious bug is found or anything that needs to be changed).simmo75 wrote:I have a time sensitive project that relies on an effect in Shaperbox that i'm waiting for fixing as i can't use it with all the clicks, can I get an estimate on how long the wait will be please? That's a great idea! I've added this to our planning to discuss it within our team.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Would it be possible to have a "Smoothing Knob?" Already done, great product and the Shaper box idea is genius. Great that the clicking issue is being sorted, the only thing that was holding me back TBH.Jakob / Cableguys wrote:Yes, TimeShaper runs inside ShaperBox.woodsdenis wrote:Is Time shaper only a shaper box module? That's how I would imagine a smoothing control would work, especially on the VolumeShaper module. It would be hella easy to just have the single curve and retrigger it however quickly I want (32nd notes) and the smoothing would stop clicks.Jakob / Cableguys wrote:That's a great idea! My solution for now is to setup different curve midi trigger presets inside the plugin and then just trigger those with combo midi notes. So I might have my main ducking curve for a single kick on its own, a duck curve for 2 kicks close together - and whatever one-offs I need. Then trigger those as required.
WidthShaper looks like fun

We've just released the update. Check: http://www.cableguys.com
To sum up: The new Smooth Step Mode for TimeShaper softens clicks in patterns containing hard/sharp steps. And MIDI triggering of LFOs now responds to all notes when MIDI wave switching is off (this applies to all Shapers).

Great idea - makes perfect senseJakob / Cableguys wrote:And MIDI triggering of LFOs now responds to all notes when MIDI wave switching is off (this applies to all Shapers).
Does the smoothing add latency, since it might require "lookahead"?

Yes, this will take some time.MogwaiBoy wrote:No auto-smoothing on Volume Shaper yet though, right?
Our plugins all have 0 latency, and the smoothing doesn't add latency.MogwaiBoy wrote:Does the smoothing add latency, since it might require "lookahead"?

So Cableguys guys, when will we have this fabulous auto-smoothing for volume shaper so we can use it on non 4-on-the-floor beats without clicks?
I actually endedup using a classic sidechain comp because of this issue which drives me mad...
