I just saw MLimiter has some clipping modes, I'll check those against KClip and StandardClip...

Hehe ok, so nothing like VocAlign, low priority really
. MVocalSynth would be probably MMorph or MVocoder. The rest of them are distortions, and there are plenty of that :

Yes I got some really crank sounds out of a combination of MMorph, MVocoder and MPhatik in combination. I particularly fell in love with MMorph, really cool stuff!
I already bought VocAlign so no priority on my side either
However I can't wait for
- Mixing Revolution
- Turbo Reverb
- New Style
- Noise / Tonal Crossover
Cheers,

What would that be?

Whoa! you will love it!Alphacodex wrote:What would that be?
It is a modular Synth, based on the MXXX matrix. Lots of new oscillator and synthesis types with SAMPLER! modules too.

Hehe I'm afraid that's truepumafred wrote:I think you "sound creation" nerds are taking over this forum. Vojtech has some music to mix, so the Mixing Revolution should come first.

Yesterday I saw yet another video using Izotope Neutron's Track Assistant. I am amazed how many "experts" take this as something magical and effective without any knowledge of how little artificial intelligence is at work there.
I like Izotope, I even like Neutron a bit (I own it), but I am disappointed over the hype, and the very favourable reviews of a very limited feature. The most optimistic assumption is that Izotope wanted to be the first to make noise about this in the market, while they work on something truly revolutionary.
However, the true revolutionary could be Vojtech, I think, if his project does not become too big to finish within his lifetime. How old are you, Vojetch?
PS: If anybody is interested, the most balanced review of Neutron, IMHO, appeared in January's Sound on Sound: http://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/izotope-neutron

Well puma, I would be very interested what AI is under the hood of Neutron. Do you have more specific information here?
I would be most interested to understand how the following 3 things work:
1) automatic multiband crossovers
2) automatic equalization, compression and saturation
3) what does the neutrino module exactly do (is it something something like spectral compression?)
Based on what do the algorithms decide how to use the modules and also what modules to use in the first place.
I'm curious...

1) no info on this. It is already present in Ozone, no? At least for the Compressor.
2) Although I did not test intensively, I became suspicious when I inserted one Neutron, ran Track Assistant, accepted its settings. I then inserted another Neutron after the previous one, ran the Assistant, and got exactly the same settings that the previous one was already applying! Does that make sense? More systematic testing would be interesting.
3) Yes, Neutrino is spectral compression, with presets for a few different track types. See here:
https://www.izotope.com/en/community/bl ... aping.html
What I am also curious about is what Neutron does when you choose Learn for its Eq. It picks some frequencies that supposedly you should check out, although it does not suggest what it "thinks" should be done (increase or decrease). (Like, e.g., TDR Nova GE Edition does when you do "learn" with it.) I am not saying you cannot check out the frequencies and decide for yourself what may be "wrong" with them, but I find it strange Neutron would not at least suggest something like "increase" or "decrease" at least.
I will be interested in anything else you may discover.
