Well, I think everyone's been very happy with the minimal downloads since they stopped including example projects some years back. I really hope they don't try to shove Collective content down our throats by not offering a no-content download option for updates.

Quick help needed.
I just bought waveform update. (I own T7).
How on earth do I get the unlock code? I forgot how it worked for T7...

Found some information. I guess I have to wait for a mail with an activation code which I can use to unlock waveform on the tracktion website.

Trying the demo - I was hoping to get an idea of whether my system can handle Collective, but it doesn't seem to be in the demo. Does anyone know if you have to download it somewhere else, or where it might be hiding?

Just look around in your list of VSTs. It's there somewhere (provided you installed it). The installer drops it in the VST folder you select.

Liking this so far. Much smoother transition from T7.

Edit: One thing to note - Collective does not come with the "Basic Upgrade" version.
Seems to be a demo only.
As I already the T7 Ultimate Pack i'm not likely to pay more for it.

Hell, yes! That did the trick! I missread the part about the password, thinking that I will get an extra one for unlocking.

So far I like what I see and they even did some fine adjustments here and there.

But still extremely annoying:
Soloing a submix group still doesn't solo tracks inside a submix.

I'd expect so. It'd be mental to do anything else. Nobody actually wants to build a massive installer, upload it to a cloud service, then get users to complain about how long it takes to download. Also, bandwidth costs.

I was under the impression from NAMM TSC videos that the collective vst, was even part of the Basic upgrade package! no extra purchase required?

Under Waveform Purchase Options after following the link to buy, it says:

"Waveform Upgrade
Includes Waveform, Collective, Master Mix"

So it should include Collective.

But, damn, the upgrade deals for the "Packs" are amazing. Been thinking of DAW Essentials, and this makes it a no brainer.

Plugin scanning hangs for me on Linux with Waveform. T7 scanning works.

As I understand it, it's the content that is on trial. You should be free to use it for samples you already own.
