GUI is very slow on macOS, please improve

Waveform 9.3.6 beta performes poorly GUI-wise on my MacBook Pro 2017, both on the internal display as well as when connected to my Dell 4K monitor. It's like 2 FPS or something. Enabling the "Use Low Detail Interface" setting gets it up to 4-5 FPS I would say. It's very very far from smooth and a huge frustration and workflow stopper.

Please fine people at TSC, can you improve that?
