Not sure what happened there, when I went from SC to NA to install Komplete 11 Ultimate via that (and I already had most of Komplete 8 regular installed, so K11U actually shared a decent amount of content with what was already installed), it promptly recognized everything that was installed and marked it as activated, there were no issues on my side...
