Yeah Korg fix the GUI's! Does anyone think we should reach out to Korg directly for this instead of complaining on the boards? Will they listen?

Probably not, because they've pretty much moved on from KLC to Gadget.

What might make more sense is asking them to port Gadget to Windows, and also give existing KLC customers a special discount price for Gadget. If there's enough demand, especially from people who can show they are existing customers, there's a better chance they might do it if enough people contacted them directly

No, would not see it like that - I mean, to use the full potential of the gadgets you need to get iM1 and iWavestation - and especially the iWavestation's UI is far superior to the Wavestation VSTi/AU .... So, KLC seems dead but the KLC synth on iOS seem very alive ....

A shame, especially as iWavestation can also not export its patches to Wavestation VSTi (M1 can do I think).

Good to see functional updates, but that does not make them really usable on modern computers. really a shame.

I haven't installed the update yet but it should work on 10.6.8 and up.

In terms of Korg's position, here's a quick question and response I had with their UK support about a year ago... slightly non-committal, to say the least:

Dear Erik,

Thank you for your enquiry.

It is always difficult to judge what might happen in the future so it is hard to say what further development work might take place for the KORG Legacy Collection (if any). There is very little we can say about future product development, for a number of reasons.

Our development team is aware of a large number of improvements that could be made to the software, including new additions as you suggested. Whether they will be produced in the future is not something we are able to confirm or deny.

My question, as a long term Korg user (started with the DW-6000 in 1985, and have been using the Legacy collection since at least 2007), as as stated in the subject - do you have plans to develop the Legacy Collection for PC and Mac any further. or is the software considered finalised and done?
I can think of a few things that would improve the current interfaces, and bring the instruments more in line with the times, such as scalable graphics for different size screens, but I realise these would mean a complete redesign. However, for the Wavestation, I think that a comparably easy fix would be to add an additional (or two) user banks, so that we don't have to overwrite existing RAM banks - this would also make it easier to facilitate patch sharing and general patch management.
Finally, as a personal wish/request, if there's any plans to do more instruments, the DW-series would be a personal favourite, especially the DW-8000.

Your remarks make it seem like you aren't aware Gadget is available as an AU/VST/AAX on the Mac. M1 and the Wavestation aren't optional extras on the Mac version - It's an "everything included" bundle which costs $300, though they have it on sale for $200 once in a while.

Frankly, if i was in their position, i'd say that it doesn't make too much sense to further develop these plugins, apart from obvious things, like, in this case, compatibility with recent operating system updates. A quick Google search revealed that the plugins are 13 years old. IMO, people can be happy that they're still supported.

But the Gadget´s are limited in terms of editing. So you won´t get the full iWavestation or ArpOdyssei as plug-in.
IOS is clearly the focus for Korg when it comes to software. We have to live with it.

What, specifically, do you think is missing between the iOS version of iWavestation and the OSX Gadget Au/VST version? I just checked the iOS versions and I can't spot anything in terms of editing! It's not like there's a whole lot you could even hide on an Odyssey emulation either - 18 sliders and some switches.

I have gadget for iOS and for macOS. IMHO M1 (darwin) and Wavestation (mil...) from gadget are preset players and do not offer the full editing functionality. If you are mac only (as for iOS you have to get the separate apps) and preset -player capabilities are enough - then yes, they are not optional extras.
Lexington seems full featured as it seems the monopoly is (which is not available on macOS)
Additionally, if I try to load a gadget project from iOS on macOS it seems that custom M1/darwin presets (saved with iM1) get lost.

I'm surprised Korg aren't yet selling individual Gadget VSTs for PC and Mac. I would definitely pick up the up-coming Mono/Poly gadget, along with existing Arp Odyssey.

Gadget and all its gadgets are available as a DAW and plugins on Mac OS. Even if you don't like Gadget itself, the plugin collection seems awesome.

What I mean is...if Korg sold them individually they would become more popular (rather than having to buy the Gadget collection to get the VSTs).
