Really? Why's that?
only because I know you actually can sing really good and I like your voice and your programming and production skills are top notch - I just didn't know that you also play the guitar - and based on what I know about your other skills I bet you do it rather good...
In that case thank you :) thank you very much :D
I'm alright. I'm no "Great Kat" or anything but I'm ok, I rate my playing only slightly above my singing which I am not too crazy about.

Actually I'm not the person to make a lot of compliments but I have to mention it because I think it's something special with you because you're a lady and sadly you're still very much in the minority :?
Yeah, there is like me, fitch and who else here?

I have loads of guitar samples at my site (click on sig). My electric guitar is a Fender USA Lonestar, so it has one humbucking and two single coil...

... actually all the samples are played through an amp... I'm guessing your after a DI recorded electric guitar?

Thanks Ben, yes I need really uncolored guitars,
an amp already has its tone and always some kind of distortion, even when played clean.
This interfears too much already,
thats why I ask for help here.

My own guitars are more than 8000 miles from here...
:(

I will take a look at your site anyway !

I saw Variax being mentioned earlier and I think they're fantastic. In a live environment, they are indespensible. The only issue I have with mine is the lack of high output modern sounds, so I still use my Wolfgang for that, but everything else is covered.

I know alot of people aren't to impressed with the 12 string sounds, but once again, very useable in a live situation.

Can't wait for the Workbench!
When I had a four track I wrote music ... now I just play with plugins.

Hey Midiworks,

There's a amp-sim comparison test in my forum. It's in German, but for your purpose you can download the unprocessed files anyway.

PS: Keep me updated about your plugIn.

@Pädy
Thanks for the link I will check them out.

@cbenci
What do you mean by:
"The only issue I have with mine is the lack of high output modern sounds." ?
In what kind of situation or guitar styles ?

To all,
The more different players/guitars I can get the better I can adjust the plugin, the better it will get.
Everybody has a different way to hit the strings,
that is the magic !!!

The type of saturation I try to get is somewhat like
this here http://ax84.com/media/ax84_m32.mp3
around 1:10 is the sound I really love !

Oh, think I forgot, PLEASE mp3's 192kbs if possible!
I am on analog... again....

Anybody who did send me some files will get the plug
as soon as I am happy with it.

The samples for download are exactly what you're looking for - even the required mp3 encoding.

Sorry Pädy, they did not work...
There is compression and amp coloration on them.

Thanks anyway ! :)

Bis denne !

Well, there are processed files which do have amp coloration on them (that's the whole point about the comparison) but the unprocessed files are just DI'd recordings of pure guitar.

Do I really have to post the direct links?

I think the Variax is vintage model biased. There are no classic shred or metal guitars - BC Rich, ESP, Ibanez, PRS etc. The output of the vintage guitars (even the Les Paul) is fairly low compared to my Wolfgang or Ibanez Jem. I know that this is true to life, but I play in a few bands - one of which covers accoustic songs to 80's 'cock rock' - so a more diverse range would suit me better.

The Workbench from Line 6 looks interesting in that I think you can customise the Variax models via your PC, including pickup stacking, body type, tuning, etc. I hope they bring out new models to download on a regular basis ... now that would be awesome.
When I had a four track I wrote music ... now I just play with plugins.
