For me hearing the delta signal is the way I make my decisions and I really like it. Somebody else might think different, but it makes things easier for me.
I need fast try and forget settings and no fiddling long time.
But I will give it another try.

Be careful with diffs, they can let you reaaaaaaly misjudge what you are doing...

Did anyone get further with this? Just looked through the vids for Spiff and it looks good, but if it can be done with Melda plugs, I'd rather do that!

No idea, really. But you can get somewhere with the transient crossover, then it's just matter of the ideas of what to do about it. I already thought about doing some spectral transient shaper, should be easy give all the technology is in place, but I'm hesitating since there are so many interesting things going on... In any case I'd probably go rather different way than this Spiff thing, it's just not natural for me...

Yeah - I like the idea of visualising the transient information. The EQ/Freq display is very good in Melda plugins so it makes it particularly noticable when there's an expected bit of visual feedback (like transients) that isn't visible.
