Is it a 'crime' to share the original free Beatzille archive ?

I don't see how you reach that conclusion. But I've looked it up on uhe's website, where it says:
"Please note: Beatzille was commissioned by German music magazine Beat for their readers. It is only available via Beat magazine, not from us or our resellers."
So unless you've got explicit permission from the publisher, I would say the answer is: no.

The CM EULA posted on the first page suggests that it IS freely distributable. Surprises me too, but, that's how it's written. Dunno if that also applies to the Beatzille version, but, it would be surprising if that one had a different EULA.
Anyway, i don't know why would actually would want to distribute it. CM mag is 4 € on Google Play, which everyone should be able to afford.

I don't want to actively distribute Beatzille. make it an activity. Who said so ?
Although if you're asking, I wanted to know that in the case the occasion surfaces that one wants to give Beatzille a try I can say here it is, you can try it. If you want more of the same, more presets, more tutorials some different than youtube, then there's CM magazine.
Other people would say go get it it's only 4€. It's a different approach.

We actually asked Beat back then to replace or modify the license agreement to their liking. I guess they didn't change anything from our standard freeware license.txt

As I already mention in this thread, updating the original comment (and clearly indicating an update) to which you have replied.ghettosynth wrote: So what does it say in the license files that are in the archives?
