There was no random phase control the last time I looked, but I have yet to install 12.06b2.

Note random is, of course, a great thing for achieving randomization, but you need to have something for it to modulate. LFO phase is not one of those things as far as I've been able to determine so far. I'll be delighted to be proven wrong, however.

in b2, the LFO has a Random phase:
Random phase controls the amount of randomization for the initial phase of the oscillator when a note is started. It can be used to mimic analog behaviour, where no 2 notes are identical. Set this to maximum to get full random initial phase.

And a Phase (in the Advanced window).

They can both be automated (I've just tried making them both the target of a Multiparameter).
