Sorry multiple soundcards are not supported by ASIO (blame some german software company for this one).

It's one vote nearer now

I'd love to see notation in Traction too :)

Pipebomb,

I can read notes and play them on a keyboard, but reading notes and playing them on guitar - well, let's just say that domesday (doomsday here in the states), is still comfortably a long way off.

That's why my signature says: Thank God for guitars!!!

I play guitar by emotion. Keys by thinking. I prefer the former, and the latter is an evil necessity.

The ability to leave clips on a single track, and assign the output for each clip to another track would be very useful. You could then visualise a part on one track, but add filters to individual bits.

I am thinking of drum chopping, but would be a creative tool for a lot of things.

Id like to be able to drag midi effects to midi clips like you can with audio clips.

well if sound card companys can make it so that you can combine more than one of their cards into a single asio device, why couldn't this be done for all cards regaurdless of manufactorer.

Post

With WDM you can have multiple cards from diffrent manufactuers working side by side. It has far lower latencies than ASIO because programs that use it are "talking" directly to the sound card instead of through the operatings system like ASIO.

Post

WDM? What is it and does Tracktion support it?

Post

I think it stands for Windows Driver Model :? but I could be wrong. My Soundcard has both ASIO and WDM drivers and I do get a lot lower latency in Cakewalk Plasma using WDM than I ever get with ASIO.

And no Tracktion doesn't support WDM, but it would be cool if it did :D

It can be done with generic ASIO drivers. But that really isnt a tracktion issue.

Midi effects can be added to the effect chain just make shure to put them to the left of the instrument.

I'd love to be able to use Slicy Drummer easily in Tracktion :D Iknow it will be a VSTi soon but it would be nice not to have to buy it twice ya know?

Maybe some nice person could write a wrapper using JUCE? hint hint a nods as good as a wink and all that :P

Post

You can use slicy in dr008.

but you probably know that already.

Did you realize that you can drag filters to individual bits? I know it's not exactly the same as what you were saying, but it might be something you didn't know. :D

Yeah, I think you can do that with rack filters applied to individual clips.

Post

Greg, that's very interesting..if you're saying what I think you're saying, I can set up a rack filter for each drum, then drag it onto the clips..tracktion is top drawer
