Well there are some poor reviews of it as well. Many people say how it doesn't do the originals justice and sounds quite different, since sampling can't capture those types of machines. Generally I think the Reaktor based Eminent or Solina will be more accurate. But the sample based layering could be it's own cool instrument.
...
I've read a lot of things about it and most of it seems pretty favourable. But opinions differ of course.
Most seem to say that it conveys the sounds of the original machines, but also adds a lot more on top. I don't know.
But for 40 bucks I was prepared to take the chance most these reviews were in the ball park. I've not been let down by any other stuff they have done. They make the best sounding VSTs in the game in my book. Mileage may vary.
They keep their prices constant, so unless you are going to take less scrupulous paths then you won't ever get to own their software for this price.
I've absolutely no doubt I will be thrilled and enchanted when I finally get around to firing it all up.
But that's not to say that it doesn't fall flat on its face for others, if they have different taste.
Everything about GForce just does it right for me. From the prices to the support. They are a bit no nonsense. But I appreciate that.
It's a good price. I put off ordering a Behringer 808 for it. But I could only afford to do that because Steinberg pulled the rug out from under me.
It's an interesting time to be a software or hardware developer for sure. Prices can't get much lower for either.
