Where? All I've read is problems because of going through a third-party reseller. Everything is automated and perfectly fine when you buy through the Tracktion website, but obviously you're not going through that system if you don't buy directly. I don't see how Tracktion can be blamed for how registration works through a third-party.

I understand the frustration, but it's like blaming Waveform for a third-party plugin crashing.

Hey guys - apologies for the delays this time around - here's some insights to the process

We have a US distributor that handles some retail outlets - including JRR

We contact them in advance of large sales events in order for the communication to spread through the channel prior to the start of the sale - codes are ordered/generated in advance

If the channel runs out of codes, new orders are placed and this is where the delay kicks in - JRR contacts the distributor - who in turn contacts us and then the reply heads down the same extended path

Brian (our web guru) was tied up in personal stuff and could not reply immediately (as he normally does) - and this is where the delay got introduced

We are looking into ways to improve/automate this process - but doing it securely is not a trivial amount of work

JRR is a great business and have done really well with our products - for which we are very thankful!!

We are working on remedies moving forward!!

Jrr has been reliable for me. I buy Waveform from Tracktion (and Tracktion before then). But I’ve spent going on $750 at Jrr without issue. Yes, sometimes it takes longer than desired to get codes - that’s the nature of the beast when getting codes from a 3rd party.

Cool story bro, but 8 days past and still no license. Should I add $5 for a coffee or something?

You could use the current 90 day free trial in the meantime, while it gets sorted out bro

The TSC comment right after your post is an interesting read then. :hihi:

All requested codes were issued multiple days back - if you have not received your code yet, there is definitely a block somewhere

Have you contacted JRR recently?

Sure did, I code a code a while back but it was already used (not by me of course). Anyway, I finally got one today that worked. Yay!
I see that "Updates to existing plugins" doesn't include Biotek -> Biotek 2 (Of course it doesn't) and that uber geek advanced exotic features such as choosing your own installation folder for WF11 have wisely been postponed to WF42.
I mean, what kind of animal would install software outside of C:\Program Files\?
Anyway that's for another day.
Thanks, WF11 is working. Not loading Echoboy, but working.

I could do any number of things, including manually assembling magnets on a plate to create WF13 from scratch, dancing for rain or streaming my music directly from my brain to yours by telepathy, but I elect to, you know, receive what I paid for in a reasonably timely manner.
Strange priorities, that. Telepathy would work better. Now if only I had music to brain-stream...

You usually don't want to install programs outside of %Program Files% because of the way windows 10 uses UAC and folder permissions to govern which other file locations those installed programs can access, and where they can write to, across the hard disk, and to prevent issues should Microsoft change how that works, in future versions/patches of windows.

Echoboy working fine here in WF11 bro.

That's fine, I'll know not to suggest ways to help you get using it in future.

Surely you jest? There are absolutely no restrictions whatsoever to install a program anywhere you want on Win10 (so long as you have access rights, duh...).
I mean, every single DAW and VST I use, I always install on a separate disk. They tend to eat a lot of space and running out on C drive is Bad For You (TM).
As for Echoboy, I guess some people have all the luck! Good for you.
For me it has been "Desactivated after failing to initialise correctly". Nominated for the Grammy Award of the most helpful troubleshooting message of the decade.
It, of course, works flawlessly on Bitwig (same VST, same computer, same folder...), but what do I know? Maybe I should put it in C:\Program Files\ ?
The other Soundtoys seem to work fine.

For the rest, considering how helpful you've been so far, I guess I'll survive without your input :D

Very happy to hear you got your code finally!!

We are looking into this from our end to figure out how this went so wrong - not had this happen previously

Send us a private message and we will hook you up with a synth to apologize!!

Regarding the Biotek upgrade, it is available in the bundles - or you can add using the custom bundle builder (only available on our site) during the upgrade process to get additional discounts if that's all you needed to add

Regarding the installers, yes we do instal to the C drive, but allow for the larger content portions of the DAW and plugins to be placed anywhere. Waveform uses approx 200MB and its never been requested - until now. If folk feel strongly about wanting to do this, it gets added to the feature request priority list :)

classy. can't say the same about the OP.

definitely the lowest priority of all known "issues" for me.

It helps to read the details. I didn't say to install it to C. I mentioned why it's a good idea to install apps to %Program Files%

Good to hear you're not having any bother, except with EchoBoy, of course, that you've mentioned, so far. All the best bro.
