MCCGenerator setup in Ableton, and what it can control

So I can get this to work in Ableton with VST3, sending it to a synth (Dune 3), but not an effect?

Is that just Ableton???

I simply want to control the Dry/Wet on MConvolution, but it won't learn. Works fine with Dune 3 on the same track. Seems like it should work on the effect.

Ah, got it... Courtesy of Cableguys... You need to set up another MIDI track with nothing on it, route it to that track, which will allow you to target effects on another track.

Who designs this stuff? Should be way easier.
