I stopped upgrading at version 9, mostly I'm not interested in the direction they are taking with it.
It's like the DAW itself has taken a backseat to all the content, most of which is uninteresting to
me personally.

Not entirely true, especially now that the engine is being reworked.

Good to hear. Another thing I don't really like is the UI, the arrow shape for the plugin
slots has always struck me as ugly, I hated putting more than one plugin in there as
that made it even worse and congested as well, so I always had to use a container.
Not really an issue, but definitely one of a number of turn-offs for me about waveform.

Add them all together and I quit using it.

I've always loved the functionality of the 'filter' system. True, it can get visually messy if one is using a lot of fx on one track, but cleaning that up would amount to hiding it, so you wouldn't be able to see at a glance what filters/plugins were on a track, and it would take more clicks to navigate. But you can hide that area and use the mixer instead, so I don't see how it's a problem.

Somehow arrows are ugly? I don't think so, I think if they were rectangular the whole GUI might look rather rigid.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Hello everyone, I have utilising many DAW.

Three years ago I’ve found Tracktion Waveform.

I’m interested in a software with good creative tools and for a while I used FL Studio.

I then realised that this program has a workflow too different from other DAW which can be confusing.

I’ve then discovered Waveform with easy and creative tools and decided to purchase the full version.

Unfortunately it contains some bugs but hopefully in future they will be corrected. I believe there is no other DAW simpler and more creative than WAVEFORM PRO.

Thank you TracKtion Team.

Yeah I don't like them and never have since ver 3. That's just me though, for a while the
color customization made things way better aesthetically, for me, then they removed
that, saying that it could not be re-introduced (which I have never believed for a moment).

Anyway, I can still upgrade at any time should it prove interesting again. In the mean time
I have plenty of other DAWs that I like, so there is no need for me to continue paying for waveform.

*If upgrades were in the $20-$30 range, I would probably just pay for it. Alas this is not the case.

I was using Tracktion since version 1 as my "other" DAW.
But I stopped at 10 as there were entirely too many bugs, crashes, and freezes for any reliable work to be done.
For sure, Waveforms' support has always been good in assisting me whenever I did have a problem.
As mentioned by others here, I feel like the yearly release schedule is just a bit much.
I have a soft spot in my heart for Tracktion/Waveform and will eagerly be awaiting the time when the platform has become more stable.

I had some serious issues a few versions ago. W11's cleared most of those up. Seems like it's on a good track overall. I'm curious to see how Waveform develops. Offering a full-featured free version is a cool move.
Linux version?

Thinking about this one you could hide the "outputs panel" and instead just use the mixer to visualise the fx and instruments. doing this you also get more space on the arrange window.
