Thank you for the explanation.Urs wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:50 pm (If I sometimes come across pissy with issues like this, it's probably because each of these elaborate answers cost me about an hour to write down. I'm slow typer and explainer. I feel that, after 15 years of happy uses of Scrambler, I could spend my time better than arguing about its usefulness or purposes, particularly when my mind is set somewhere else)
Scrambler - dx pretty high noise artifacts

BTW see Zebralette preset "HS Zlette Cymbals". That's one good use for Scrambler.

PLEASE, criticism must have its place and a professional attitude would be great, even in darker times!
If we´re already talking about it... things I´m growing unhappy about:
- Bazille Cookbook??? I don´t even care anymore!!!!! Keep it hidden like the Vatican... Zero demand over here anymore, honestly...
- Zebra 3... (it became an inside joke over here --> When we would like to incorporate a feature, but deadlines won´t allow it ---> it´s a DeadZebra….)
- And the thing with Hive and the Composers..... Comoooooon just release the f**king update. Can´t handle the annoying hanging notes anymore, just a total no-go. Is it really worth it to lose customers about this Composers thingy? I didn´t use Hive for weeks now and I must say promising new Synths are at the horizon... (e.g. Matt Tytels, Vital) Not sure if I´ll come back to Hive...
I really wonder how the recent situation will affect Zebra3 (and u-he)... I fear that the pressure and the situation atm isn´t very promising... Idk...
I must say my view on u-he has drasticly changed over the past years (since Diva and ZebraHZ)... Not sure if I feel the need to support them anymore...
Capitalism is a bitch... let´s see if they deliver a product worth spending money...

If you experience stuck notes in Hive which are not explained by any of the information in the linked thread, then please contact our support with more details.operator wrote: Thu Oct 22, 2020 11:02 pm And the thing with Hive and the Composers..... This way we can try to reproduce them, and either fix them if the problem is on our side, or help you identifying the source if it's not the plugin's fault.

The thing about sprint-based development is that, once you put your unfinished work out into the public it becomes a promise to customers, like it or not. People start to depend on those plans. It's a good argument in favor of keeping things internal until it's on the threshold of completion.
Right now I am running on a bunch of beta plugins, and while they're awesome and I don't want to go back.. they're incomplete and I was expecting these things to have been finalized months ago. Plenty of goodwill left, but IMO its time to wrap up all these loose ends before any more experiments become reality.
End of transmission.

Yes, we're very sorry that we had to leave Uhbiks at the state they are. We had to put them out at the time to make sure that we were on the right track.
It's difficult to not make excuses but Corona did happen, it did change a lot more than meets the eye, and the two developers mainly involved with Uhbik did leave the company. The work on Uhbik and my frustration with slow progress may have had something to do with that, and once one left, the other followed in what felt like an instant. Obviously I wasn't inspiring enough to keep them involved.
So now I go from project to project and finish up the things only I can finish, because a lot of knowledge and experience is simply gone. This means a very long delay for Zebra3, which I would much rather work on.
On a positive note, Diva works fine on Arm Macs, the whole Apple Big Sur/Arm stuff does not require much of my time. I'm also not precious about the secretive Hive project anymore, we'll just release it as I get to involve myself into this. And also, Bazille should not be too far anymore since my temporary focus from our hardware project is shifting back to software now.
A few major issues remain in uncertainty, e.g. there's a problem with Filterscape on latest compilers on Mac. Which I have to look into in order to put one fo our oldest build servers - and with it dependency on Carbon - to rest.

As someone who thinks u-he instruments are the top of the food chain, and the u-he standalone effects are 'ok', it might be a blessing in disguise.
Still sorry to seem him go, hope it was at least amicable. (no need to respond to this obviously)

Nah, it's all good. It was a blow, but we respect the decisions and we're in the process of training two new developers we could source locally. Hoping for an end to the pandemic / vaccine because we have been in contact with another developer who we'd love to hire once travel is possible again.

(also, the move to remote work / zoom might open up possibilities to easier hire developers in future, but we need some local guys first to soak up our framework stuff)
