And also there's the case where Behringer might even not nail cloning it sound-wise, too (which, considering how much custom circuitry and hand-wired looms are there in CS-80 is highly likely)...
So far they're pretty much spot on. Behaviour and sound are correct, if a bit "too new".
Waaaaaait a minute, you have heard it in person? :o

The others: Minimoog, Pro~One, MS-20, Oddysee, SH-101

Obviously not, but I know the sound...
No, you don't know the sound. You know the processed sound from records, you don't know the raw sound of it. :)

Actual CS-80 owners contributed to ME-80 emulation to sound as close as possible, FYI.
Oh come on, take repro for instance, I know the sound of the prophet, tried all the other emulations, none sounded right, tried repro for an hour or so and bought it. It just need to feel right, familiar, bring you in the mood...

Ah, that's what you meant.

Dunno, I don't think they nailed MS-20 as well as Korg did (but that should be no surprise). Mini, Pro-One, Oddysey are very much excellent. SH-101 I am not very familiar the original (at least not in person), with but I've seen mixed opinions on it...

Without that long keybed, any CS80 clone is doomed to failure.

All Uli would have to do is come up with something in the ballpark that had a 61 key polyphonic aftertouch keyboard with a touch strip and it would be a hit for me. I’d buy it mostly for the controller aspect and the fact that it was also a decent sounding analog would be gravy.

Exactly, two voices (two osc each) with hp and lp resonating filters plus a sine sub, full MPE implementation and an analog sound with the low aliasing that we expect from u-he.

That's not what I wrote, were you trying to make joke?

Save it for the "quoted out of context" thread you two!

And yes, I'm sure he was making a joke, and I definitely am. There really is a quoted out of context thread here somewhere for things you find kind of funny like that when taken out of context.

Nerds making fun of Maestro. Now that's comedy.

Urs should make with Uli a hardware synth he always wanted, since he is a graduated hardware designer if I remember right. They could call it URSULA™ :)
