I agree but I've been using free synths forever to show others who might not be able to afford paid vst's how you can make 95%+ of sounds that sound close enough on the simplest of synths.

But because I do plan on making more tuts on YT etc I thought (as was suggested by others) that having Serum in the thumbnail and title will help with views.

So why not.

I do have FATHOM vst which is modular but I think that I havent had an issue with not enough osc's yet especially since the Sub osc can be used AND the noise one can be replaced with wavs etc.

But phaseplant is pretty sweet too.
I had never heard about FATHOM before ? :), looks quite nice the interface.

it's pretty sweet but takes longer to get what you need so if/when I have time to play around or nothing else to do then I play with it at times but usually I grab my main synths for efficiency/familiarity

It's oscillators are meant to be even cleaner than Serum by the way.

It's pretty much identical.

very nice...But I really like the visual feedback from SERUM. I get the free vst synth idea. Looked at FATHOM. Seems a bit not fully developed somehow?. As far I can see from the turorials online you have to press alot of buttons to see whats going on inside the different component?
For modular I just use the GRID in bitwig 😊

Yeah but if you're after a particular sound you might have to adjust your synth of choice

If you wanna win a formula one you can scrap your fiat Punto :)

I agree with the layout of Serum
That's why I went with it as my new main synth.

I have bitwig too and REALLY need to start learning how to use it

I really hope to have a project finished soon and intend to make the same project with all native plugins

hahaha I thought the same
Ive never used a DX7 but it's not bad at all.
but that's what I meant that you can make 95% of sounds on any synth. some don't have unison or whatever but you can skin a cat in many ways

No. I didn't do the patch. Actually I like yours and CHOOS' basic sound better. This FM/PM is too effect-laden.

I don't know, however, I was on the roof photographing U2 during the music video shoot.

I just found this nice tutorial for organ sounds, I found this via google search as I am looking for tutorials on organ sound designing. Sorry for upping a necro post in my search but I cannot seem to bookmark this topic.

Eric Bowman has a nice organ tutorial for Vital.

I also attach my version of the U2 organ.
