What do they do with the people who realize that there is a 50% off sale after they bought the plugins full price? Guess there's a lot of support work coming down on them.
I think that is a fair point.

How's that for you, u-he?

I've had this idea of buying stuff directly from you, as I've been thinking that benefits you the most.
And of course, a full price sale will always benefit you more than sales do, but is there anything in this for you?
It's a very complex matter. On one had, I'm not a fan of drastic sales. OTOH we did it before, and it really made a big difference.

Naturally, buying from us directly is the best way people can support us. There's however no denying that NI's user base is larger than ours by several orders of magnitude, and NKS has become a vast selling point for us. Like I wrote elsewhere, it would be madness to not want to tap into their user base.

But there's another angle. My stance on sales and all that is also accompanied by the idea of running the company debt free and without foreign investment. We have used sales in the past to build a financial buffer. We think that in this time, with all the things that are going on, we need to increase our buffer, both for opportunities as well as for the contingencies.

Our support staff got handed a very generous set of options. Solutions need to be dealt with individually though, but we'll do the best we can to help people.
