If prefer warm analog character instead of machine sound for the money is no brain deal -
there is few really useful things when play with it among other synths, which makes it very flexible :
1.Normal nonlinearity for analogish sound or basic for more digital sound.
2.Series filter mode for more distinguish character of the sound and dynamic modulations.
3.Different ADSR modes and slope curves for more smooth sound, this option is unique, not sure other synths have it.
Cheers :)

ecasasmusic2 wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 6:38 pm Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Syntmaster One allows use of complex wavetables from Serum etc, while Synthmaster 2.9 only gives you access to the factory 16-waves wavetables.
That's not true, the website states for Synthmaster 2.9:

Wavetable Oscillators
- Contains many wavetables
- You can import your own wavetables by drag and drop
I think you're right. I thought it was limited to 16 waves wavetables, but I have tried to drag and drop wavetables from Serum and it does seem to work

Are the Synthmaster Player filters different than the better versions of Synthmaster? I wasn't liking what I was hearing from the Player.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Sounds great and is low on CPU.

there is one really stupid mdfk here on kvr, which put thumb down on absolutely everything i write,is there a way to find who this is?
Must be some mental illness or just rare case of stupidity, who knows...

I like SM One sound and features. I demo'd it several times but never wanted to buy it. I really like easy workflow (all in hands in one window), sound, CPU usage, visualization and stability. I don't like colour schemes/skins and its size.

another nice thing in SM1 is vast spectrum of lfo shapes, but could be even better if have phase frame and drawable lfo, write about this several times, without respond from the developer, will nag for it in SM3,cause this will make it a beast :)
Cheers :)

It's got a fast workflow and a wealth of options, leading to a wide range of wonderful sounds. Fat VA, FX, crusty digital, thick pads, sequences/arps, drums, clean supersaws, acoustic instruments, etc.. Lots of great waveforms and wavetables. Online preset database for use/inspiration and if you want to share. Nice preset browser.

One of my favorite oscillator FX is the bitcrusher. Creates tasty digital artifacts for retro patches. Bend is useful for vocsim, Sync is great combined with FM with the sub to create moving harmonics.

Only thing I don't like much is the reverb but that's forgivable. TBH I design more in SM One more than Synthmaster, since I end up turning to some other supersynth with a better workflow. If SM 3 has an improved workflow then it's back in contention for sound design for me.

reverb and phaser are suberb in my opinion, better than some 4-5 times more expensive competitors.
Lo-fi is what gives really unique funky vibe :):):)

No they are identical. The problem with most SynthMaster/SynthMaster Player factory presets is that most of them used Digital/VAnalog category filters. (VAnalog is moog ladder filter based on Stilson Smith paper). BTW, we don't have VAnalog filter in SynthMaster ONe, that was intentional. All filters in SynthMaster One are based on zero delay feedback, with some unique internal drive implemented by me.

One advantage of having SynthMaster One is that it is crossplatform, it runs on iOS as well with ful feature set. and there is crossplatform data sync + public user library (which recently came to SynthMaster 2.9.9 as well)

Speaking of crossplatform, SynthMaster 2 iOS is on the way as well! My brother is working on the UI. I will port the new architecture to iOS in the next weeks before moving on to SynthMaster 3 development.

and one last thing: SynthMaster 3 will read SynthMaster One presets as well. You'll be able to load them as layers in SynthMaster 3.

What about lfo phase frame or drawable lfo in SM3?

Post

Really tried to like it but there’s something about the sound that screams “low quality”, in my opinion.
