Confirmed, will look into it.adrs wrote: Fri Jan 22, 2021 11:15 am I don't know if there's something I missed in my setup, or it is a bug. But, whenever I'm using the experimental engine, the click output always routed to output 1-2 and master meter only respond if I'm using output 1+2 as default output, I'm using output 3-4 as my default output (no problem with the audio, just the meter that only responding to output 1-2).
Waveform 11.2.18 is available as beta

Just confirmed that you don't seem to be able to drag the play cursor anymore under any setting. Previous versions you could do this in empty space or on a clip. The timeline is not the same. I hate to keep harping on this, but as far as I know I've been able to do that since T1 and it's become a huge part of my workflow. Can we please just get a legacy setting?Kang wrote: Fri Jan 22, 2021 8:44 amWell I just left my studio computer, but I don't think the play cursor drags with the mouse cursor with that setting either. I can locate the cursor fine I just can't drag it into place anymore (from anywhere on the edit screen, not just background). Probably wasn't too clear on that but it's hard to explain since everything is a cursor. Hopefully you are correct though.boomt wrote: Fri Jan 22, 2021 8:35 amYou can go back to the old way, it's under settings->general->Clicking background locatates cursor.Kang wrote: Fri Jan 22, 2021 7:08 am Cursor action in general is different, no? It's a big game changer for me.
One of my favorite things about tracktion/waveform is that I can click->drag anywhere on the edit and the cursor sticks to the mouse pointer. This is ultimate visual control for editing, to me (I don't use the edit cursor for various reasons). I don't seem to be able to do that with these last two versions, can you have a "classic cursor" mode for us long-time users, where click dragging locates the main cursor again and range selector is like a CTRL-click hotkey?

I now tend to use middle click to relocate the cursor in this new version

Yes, I did enable "paste at edit cursor". I'll disable it.
Linux version?

There's a glitch now that you can't get the right click menu with multiple clips selected.FigBug wrote: Fri Jan 22, 2021 3:52 pm If you want extra commands on the right click menu you can do it yourself. Go to keyboard shortcuts, find the thing you want and drag it to the custom menu. Then it'll be on the right click for tracks and clips. (you can't do that for gain since it's not a single action)

New welcome screen. On Linux the audio settings box can be shifted up for buffer size combobox.
Or it can be scrollable.

I'm a bit confused by this. Should we just be able to select tracks in the mixer and move one of the faders to adjust all faders in the selected tracks? That doesn't work. Am I missing something? You can now adjust multiple track volume/pans at once by selecting multiple tracks
Thanks.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

It works from the mixer, but it should also work if you select multiple tracks and move the fader on a volume/pan filter. I'm a long time Tracktion user, I don't use a mixerpough wrote: Sat Jan 23, 2021 6:03 pmWorks for me. Windows 10. Edit: I also confirmed that it does only effect the final volume/pan filter in the track when doing this, which is great.

Ah, I see. It does work in the mixer panel but not via the mixer in the quick actions window, which is odd. Should be the same behaviour in both.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I can confirm on Linux too that multiple select and sync for the faders or pan doesn't work in the quick actions window also.
It works flawlessly everywhere else, i.e on tracks and the mixer and even allows for offsets, which is cool.

What do you mean by tracks? It did not work on the edit window for me, which is where I'd most like to see it.mikoatkvr wrote: Sun Jan 24, 2021 1:20 am I can confirm on Linux too that multiple select and sync for the faders or pan doesn't work in the quick actions window also.
