The issue is that the values of the (patch/preset/program) are not restored correctly, or perhaps are being miswritten to the edit. You will note from the pictures that the envelopes are wildly different, as are the levels, detune values, etc. Same p/p/p, no changes, just reloading its values by back-and-forthing to and from a different one.

Post

What you mean by reloading, close and open plugin's window, or reopen same preset in the plugin?

Post

Reopen the same preset. (Open edit; hear incorrect sound; open plugin; switch to different preset; switch back to original preset.)

Something happening on audio clips
If I import an audio file into edit, it now takes a wee while to render, if I the shorten or lengthen clip it re renders again each time taking a little time. If I move it while it's rendering it start again from zero.
Also re renders if I split the clip.
Did not do this on 11.2.18

Further investigation, it seems to be only affecting imported audio files.
Does not happen on existing audio that were originally in edit.

Take two clips...

...merge them to get rid of extraneous notes you can't see in the first clip...and...er...hmm

Those aren't even the notes I was trying to get rid of...

I'm reminded that it also happens during editing (stop correct playback, restart with incorrect playback) so maybe not a miswritten edit thing, unless an autosaved edit is silently auto-reloaded afterward.

This is a random hold over from Tracktion, but I think might be an easy fix.

You still can't use macros to make an absoluteMarker, it just makes a beats&bars marker either way.

Post

Here's a minor one. If you change the color of a bus track, the color of the output button on the tracks going to it doesn't update.

Yeah, I see now and confirm. Looks like OSC4 doesn't load the preset at first start though this preset is selected in preset browser.

ForrestH wrote: Sat Feb 06, 2021 12:30 am On the other hand, the issue with 4OSC instances not restoring settings reliably is still present.
I've never been able to reproduce this. Any edits / screen captures etc would be very helpful to reproduce.
How to reproduce:

Create new project.
Add OSC4 plugin on the track.
Open OSC4 plugin.
Select some preset (or make your own then save it), close OSC4.
Close this project.

Open this project.
Open project's OSC4 instrument.
Though desired preset name is displayed all parameters are random or default. Reselecting preset loads right values.

4OSC issue confirmed here. (Windows 10 Waveform 11.2.22) Even the auto-generated audio preview in the Projects page isn't using the preset I selected.

The preset I had selected was Hi Pass Fun (chosen at random). In the screenshot the 4OSC on the left is what the preset should look like. The 4OSC on the right is what it looks like when Waveform tries to load 4OSC with the Hi Pass Fun preset. Look at values particularly in the middle third. They are all different.

Maybe fixing this will also fix all the Image-Line plugins loading with mangled settings!

Surely there must be consensus by now...

Ok, thanks, I see what's going wrong. I think this is a 4OSC specific issue.

Hello,
wouldn't it be more logical that recent edits show the last open edits and not the last recorded edits?

Is there any way to mute a track and still have signal pass through to the sends? other than adding another volume/pan. if not is it possible to add this to the features. thanks

Maybe. How often do you open an edit and not make any changes? I figured the last edited and last opened should be pretty much the same order.
