I'll take a look, but i think it'll be the same thing again: standalone only and no syncin possible right? It's interesting that it's made with max/msp (or is that not true?) though, my roommate just got it, i'm curious about what experienced users can do with it... Thanks anyway!

Headquest, i must say that i haven't ever felt attracted to reason, don't know why. Maybe it's because it tries to emulate hardware, which is IMO not the best thing to do for software: it's not as good in some things it tries to do as hardware, but it's a lot better in other things (such as algoritmic stuff).
Anyway, i do recognize that software is a cheap and practical alternative, and in fact this very thread is about finding a software replacement for a hardware tool, in the first place for budget reasons so i better shut my big mouth... And i have been thinkin about giving reason a try (i got reason adapted with my audiophile2496)- although i hate the wiring thing: that's one of the tings that make software so great, no? I mean having no cables to connect?
Pff, sorry, that's getting too long... No, thing is, i can't afford to buy it right now, already spent way too much this year (although newyear is close!)so i better don't download that demo :) ... I was hoping for some freeware thing or a cheapo sequencer, but i don't think i can use reason as a whole...

cheers,

p.
