Have you checked out Adobe Audition? Great audio sequencer (128 tracks), ReWire host (so you can use it with FL, Live, Reason, etc as slaves). Has video, and is optimised to work alongside Premier Pro - i.e. shared file saving, etc.SuperFly76 wrote:I am a musician but I often do soundtracks for videos (to pay the bills). I would love to see video support. I realize that it may not be a high priority for other users but it would really simplify things for me and others who do film scoring.
I wouldn't mind a VST plugin or a Traction filter that would playback video in sync with the filmscore. I have Adobe Premier Pro but it just doesn't cut it for composing audio. I have yet to find a way to sync Premier with audio apps. In the past I have used the demo version of Vegas and synched it to my audio/sequence software with mtc and just used it as a video player but this is a bit memory hungry and kind of a lame work around to sync video just for playback. Sure, I could use vegas to compose but not if I want to use Reason via rewire and all the other cool features of Trackton (also, I just don't like Vegas). I would love to see a simple window that would just play back the video in sync with my music as I'm composing it. I agree that Traction doesn't need a full featured video editor but I think that a video player would be quite beneficial. Just my 2c.
