Never heard of them.. off to explore.
Though it is quite possibly since we have completely different views of the sound of polymax it may not also be my cup of tea.

Just listen to some of their audio demos on their website.
yes we definitely have different tastes, unless their audio demos (technically video demos) don't do them justice.

Yeah I wouldn't bother with the video/audio demos. A few to try

* Dr Phase (free)
* Dark Memory (esp as a chorus rather than delay)
* Electric Matter
* Chorus Ensemble (better than UAD's to me, and with more usable functionality)

I definitely wouldn't suggest their whole catalog. But the more recent stuff has generally been on the same level as any other effect from a major company, for example. To me. For a lot less.

HQ mode can make a big difference in sound quality, but also in CPU use.

As far as I know it's a 1-man show, with some UI help from elsewhere.

Yeah I tried the Dr. Phase and Dark Memory...against my favourites (D16, Moog, UAD, SoundToys & Arturia)..
for me I didn't find one instance where I thought it measured up or surpassed my favourites of those..
Different strokes, different folks.
Thanks for bringing them to my attention though.

What do you think of Valhalla comparing to your favourites?

Post

Word of obviousness :).. This is only my taste.

I think valhalla are great for the money.. But the last part is key for me..
I have their Lexicon (Vintageverb) which I never use. (the reverbs that I use constantly are liquidsonics three algorithm verbs, soundtoys super plate I like a lot, surprisingly arturia's lx-24 I also like a lot. I use to use EA Nimbus and R4 and their predecessors but ironically just today I took them out of all my templates cause they are for sure eol (end of line) ....I actually like Valhalla free stuff more than their paid stuff.. like super massive and space modulator... but the truth is the only one I actually use in projects is their delay and I only use it when I am doing spacey ambient guitars that I don't want to sound too much like guitars... for me it is definitely not a bread and butter go to delay... again, for me :) (don't want the valhalla police to come chomping over me).

zvenx, it's quite funny you never heard of us :D We are here since 2010 and there are several threads you participated that mention us. About the operation, it is a one-man-band, including the UIs.

@vitocorleone123 thanks for the appreciation! I always do my best to keep up with quality against the big folks baked by millions :D

Cheers,
Luca

I have a Matriarch. The closest itb delay I've found is this one: https://www.pulsarmodular.com/product/lunar-lander/

Interesting it is still not ringing a bell.
I searched all my chats for the word "audiority", found none, then searched your posts to see if my name was mentioned and only this one came up.

Were we discussing your products?
Do you remember any of those threads off hand.
Still not remembering.

I see from your earlier threads you use to make sound banks for Omnisphere? Was it one of those threads?

Sorry.

I’m with you. I have personally tried almost everything they offer and I have yet to find anything that I like.

Dubstation 2 is good, and inexpensive.

You can get v1 for free, but I don’t think it does ping-pong delays.

It definitely is, I demoed it previously, but as far as I am concerned:
- no ping pong (unless I missed the secret tweak options again)
- price a bit steep
- It really shouldn’t matter but still… ‘Masterpieces’ I mean come on…

Just auditioned some Audiority plugins and they get the thumbs up from me.

I don’t remember, it’s been a while since I used it and I’m in Mexico at the moment.
