It can be difficult tracking down problems enough to describe them to the developers, but they also can't fix anything that they can't see. Crashing here and there and that makes it not very trustworthy for me.
The most common problem I find now is with VST3 plugins. I mentioned it to some plugin developers and their response was to say that if Steinberg ever nails down the spec properly, the plugins can follow the spec properly. One of these days I will put in the time to describe a few issues and put in a ticket to Tracktion... Until then, I use either VST2 (if I can) and the sandbox for a small number of plugins.
I learned on T3 back in the day. But all releases since have been buggy when it comes to plugins. Especially many of my Waves and Slate plugins. And I keep upgrading in hopes it will come around.
