I have the latest Mac OS Monterey (12.3) on M1 MacBook Pro and the latest AmpliTube 5 (5.3.0).
Standalone is working here.
But it still gives that annoying popup message that Peter said was going to be fixed and never was.

Well, Amplitube 4 standalone works here, OS 12.3, M2 MBP. Plugin as well. I tried AT5 last year, it acted like it wasn't authorized yet it was. Who has time for that.
