Kontakt 6 vs 7

Can anyone speak to any changes in K7 over K6 with the handling of third-party libraries? Are there any changes large or small?

I use almost exclusively third-party and the changes to factory libraries and effects don't interest me in the slightest. The window resizing does interest me ... but sad to discover it only applies to the library browser and not instrument view. What sort of half measure is that? Definitely not worth $99 upgrade. Maybe I'll wait and see if they complete the task and make the instrument window also resizable.

You can import 3rd party libraries 1 at a time into the new browser, but the tagging requires a workaround in komplete control to make it useful. You can add an image to replace the folder image that gets crested. Basically 7 is useless. The browser sucks, and the part of the program you want to be sizeable still isn't. Total waste of money. To be honest im not sure its worth the price of 1 upgrade to go from 5 to7.

I hope Halion7 (or other software) will load Kontakt6 libraries, so I can get rid of the Kontakt plugin. I just want to play Kontakt libs, doesn't matter in which software...
That would be cool if Unify would be able to load such libs...

There is some value in any improvements they made, but bulk import of third party libraries would be better. Do you have a link to discussion or video on the import tagging workaround in kk? I haven't been following. I installed Kontakt7 Player alongside my full 6 but a lot of those features seem to be unavailable in player to import third-party libraries, so I can't see the "improved" import flows.

Any advantage this new way over using Quickload?
