Tracktion "Customer Support" is not responding at all

I seriously regret buying Waveform Pro 11.
It won't load third party plugins on my Mac os 10.11 and doesn't load them correctly on my Windows 11 machine.
I've tried numerous times to contact Traction support and the only time they ever replied was to suggest uninstalling everything on my machine and reinstalling.
I informed them that Tracktion 6 and 7 had no problems loading those very same plugins on the same machine and that's when they stopped replying.
I've downloaded Waveform 12 free and that has no problem loading third party plugins so what ever was broke in Waveform Pro 11 is now fixed in Waveform 12 free but I shouldn't have to buy Waveform Pro 12 again just to fix this basic flaw in design that I've already paid for.
In my desperation I bought the Midi pack for Waveform 12 free thinking at least I will get my pro midi features back but again this was a mistake because the midi pack doesn't include the arpeggiator that comes with the pro version, so I'm back to square one, Regretting my second purchase from Traction.
Hopefully Traction will upgrade my Waveform 12 free to Pro and right this terrible wrong.
or this will be my last ever purchase from Traction.

to work with midi, use the Helio application (helio.fm). Recently, the developer said that he plans to release this application as a vst plugin - it will be a holiday for everyone). Or connect Laras using loopMIDI, use Ripchord, and as said above BlueArp. These four applications close all questions. check out the plugins for working with midi here: www.codefn42.com. Download Stochas. All these plugins significantly improve the work with midi... or I haven't learned how to use the built-in ones))
I practically don't use built-in plugins - they all look like unfinished raw products. They are there - but they are inconvenient. Of all the advantages of the PRO version, I actively use Arranger Track, Groove Doctor and Modifiers, and that's it!

This is weird. WF11 loads plugins fine on Windows and Linux for me. I might assume that your plugins are 32-bit, but as you say it works in WF12 - it's really weird.Mphrasor wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 1:57 pm I seriously regret buying Waveform Pro 11.

I notice that there is no longer a link to these forums from the Tracktion web site, nor a replacement for them. There is a link to the Juce forum, but not to this one.
Looks like we are indeed being abandoned.

In other words, Tracktion decided not to listen to loyal customers anymore? That's pity. I'm just in the mid of the proces making Waveform my main DAW again. But I'm going to change my mind once again. This does not bode well.fde101 wrote: Wed Dec 21, 2022 9:43 pm I notice that there is no longer a link to these forums from the Tracktion web site, nor a replacement for them. There is a link under the 'training' header. So I guess we are all delegated trainers, as well as support staff. Which is fine to be community based although sometimes I just want to RTFM but it's pretty sparse and out of date. The third party stuff is still coming through with updates as well as new versions of Waveform itself, I don't feel abandoned just yet (been through that after the Mackie days)
Anyway, new Dawesome synth out any minute, Kult, and it looks pretty interesting.

Yes, I do feel abandoned unfortunately. There are lots of bug reports and feature requests in this forum, but no-one from the Traction reacts to them. Even though they read it, they don't answer. It just doesn't look good. Yes, the community helps a lot, but it's not able to solve any bugs.

I do agree about the bugs. I've learnt to adjust my workflow to bugs and crashes, although my current setup with 12 Pro is pretty solid. If I was a professional with clients would I have different opinions...... Possibly.

Exactly. This is what I'm talking about. It's hard to trust the piece of software, you don't know if it's still alive. I feel Tracktion's strong shift from Waveform to all those synths. And I don't like it at all.

Indeed, it is. I missed that one. Why not in the "Community" section of the main page?jabe wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 4:05 pm A link to this forum is on this page of the Tracktion website.

Most of the synth stuff is partnerships with indie devs through Tracktion Presents; they get to use the marketing, store and expertise from Tracktion for a small kickback, or some kind of mutually beneficial arrangement. I don't think it detracts substantially from the core product.UnionS8 wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 1:49 pm Exactly. This is what I'm talking about. Even so, the silence is reminiscent of the end of the Mackie period and the beginning of the wilderness years.
