Comodo Dragon instead of Chrome is perhaps an option.

I used to use Comodo Dragon, but now i use Google Chrome.

Yep, this. The background, ethos, feature set and pretty much everything about it... is really cool, haha. It's really quite an amazing browser, imo. Note that I'm not "brand loyal" in any manner regarding browsers, I do web development alongside my audio/music/gemedev work projects and I've just come to the conclusion Vivaldi is currently the best one for me, personally. I'm using it on Windows, Linux and on my Android devices. In my work I've extensively used Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Edge and Vivaldi and and... Yeahh.

At least check that out and take your time to go through the features, it really is pretty swell

(And oh, a shout out to LibreWolf as well, the "actually free (of telemetry and such extraneous stuff) version of Firefox" ... I replaced actual Firefox, as my secondary browser, on Linux with that one.)

Yeah, I was using Opera from back in the day when it was a paid software...
Kept me safe from all the Internet-Explorer exploits.
Was devastated when they sold it to those hoodlums.
The only browser and team I can really feel connected to. And Vivaldi is a joy to use, once you found your setup.
Add ublock origin and it's really good.

Thanks for the hint on LibreWolf - installed and just what the doctor ordered - Firefox has gotten it's own strange kind of issues these days...

I have used Firefox for years but it seems to be getting slower, bloated and more inquisitive. And Edge wants to take over my life.

I don't think it makes enough of a difference that it's worth going to the trouble of finding one, so I just use Edge. I actually quite like it, although it is definitely getting worse lately, as Microsoft continue to weaponise it. I was previously a Netscape/Firefox user but I found IE10 to be noticeably better when I started beta testing Windows 8, so I made the switch.

I do a lot in the browser and love how I can organise my work in Vivaldi.
The sidebar holds my dictionary and my weather reports, it has integrated email, notes, news, a reading list, mastodon etc. if I want them, has very clever functionality built in like a translate tab and full-page screenshots, I can pin pages I want always open, it doesn't track me, it isn't MS horrible hodgepodge of AI and track me to death stuff like Edge, it isn't Chrome with all the strange things Google thinks to be a good idea but I don't. It also isn't Brave with it's weird marketing everywhere stuff.
It's preferences are deep but well organised and not like in many other browsers that somehow seem to try to keep you away from what you really want to do.

So I do care a lot and Vivaldi is very configurable with tons of cool ideas and constant evolution in a direction that makes a lot of sense.

You mean like I did? Id suggest my advice is a lot more useful than the rest of the paranoid drivel in this thread. There are things worth putting time and effort into, choosing a browser is not one of them. Call it life advice.

Good for you. I spend a lot of time in Edge, too, but the browser isn't what I'm doing, what I'm doing is interacting with websites and they all do that in pretty much the same way. You just have to look at the home pages of Brave and Vivaldi to see that they are keyed into people's stupid paranoia and fear of "big tech".

Edge makes way more sense because it's right there on every PC. All I have to do is sign in and it instantly becomes my PC, with all my stuff right there. If I bookmark a page at home, it's there when I log in at the office (where I can't install any software on my workstation). You can't beat that level of convenience, especially when it's not something you even have to install.
