Is U-He Diva un-optimised for Ryzen 7950x or un-optimised just for FL Studio?

I have tried Diva with Reaper latest version. Result is the same. I believe there is something unoptimised in the code that doesnt go along with Ryzen 7950x cpu.

Since you also took this to our support address, it would be great if you could also reply to the email we sent you where we had further questions.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have updated an intel 5960x, the first 8 core cpu, which was overclocked from 3 to 4,5 ghz.
This old cpu was able to run diva and Repro-5 without activating the multicore button on every preset on every chord.
I have updated my old intel to AMD 3900x with 12 cores and on my projects with lot of diva and Repro instances got less cpu usage, but I wasn’t able to run cpu demanding Repro-5 / diva chords again, without activating the multicore button. My old system was much faster. Last year I’ve updated to 5950x Amd 16 core, which has faster singlecore, but also can’t handle high cpu demanding patches without the multicore button. So my old intel CPU from 2014 was much better for Diva and Repro. But on an Ableton project I get less cpu usage in overall project with my new AMD. So maybe AMD is not well optimised for these synths, I know that intel changed the ring-bus structure after the 10 core 6950x generation, which has slow down audio products.

How do you want us to word it? I'd be happy to write "compatible with latest amd ryzen cpu", I just think that, because that's implicitly true, no-one is doing it and it would feel awkward if we did.

Maybe its a language barrier but i dont understand what so you mean. But i did reported to support and created a thread about CPU the performance on R9 7950x CPUUrs wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2023 9:19 pmHow do you want us to word it? After your reports about the possibility that there were some special optimisations to be made, we researched the topic and found out that all applicable optimisation techniques recommended by AMD are already in place. We do everything they suggest, newest compilers all that stuff, except most of what they suggest is for graphics performance, not synthesis.Lbdunequest wrote: Fri Sep 08, 2023 5:17 amMaybe its a language barrier but i dont understand what so you mean. I think I mentioned it before, we do not know what else to do, we're sorry that you experience less performance than you expected from your CPU, but you can not expect from us to do something that is not in our power.

But i do think this is in your power, maybe havent found whats wrong? Diva runs way more poor then Repro 5 (that is with setting 8 count threads in repro itself). It runs barely any better then on 9 year old CPU which signals that there is an anomaly happening within the plugin itself.Urs wrote: Fri Sep 08, 2023 5:38 amAfter your reports about the possibility that there were some special optimisations to be made, we researched the topic and found out that all applicable optimisation techniques recommended by AMD are already in place. I'm sorry. No.
We're not discussing this any further. You made your point, we explained our situation, we'll be happy to let you know if anything changes, but at this point of time and until *we* come back to you, there is no point repeating the argument ad nauseam.

Weird. Diva runs great on the Ryzen CPUs Ive tried. My main daw is using 3950x. Be sure to use a good Ryzen scheduler in Windows, it does make a difference.
Exactly how much CPU does one instance of Diva use in your DAW? (in Divine mode)
What memory speed do you have btw?

Thats the thint, this affects only the newest ryzen CPU on AM5 platform. What do you mean scheduler in windows? Can you explain?cnt wrote: Fri Sep 08, 2023 6:29 pmWeird. Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.
