...mmmmmm...good point...I can/will use that technique as an "idiot filter" from now on, 'cause if that makes/breaks a client/session they probably weren't going to pony up in the end any way...(sigh) it's happened.../s~

I too would be interested to hear more about what auto-input drives besides an input gain level.Held wrote: Sun Jun 04, 2023 9:55 am How does the automatic gain compensation button work in the new MDrumStrip? It seems to set some hidden control that can alter the sound dramatically instead of just matching the input with the output gain.
It seems the fundamental for the EQ is detected as well? What else? Everything seems to fall into place so nicely...
That said I still have a number of questions that aren't answered in the documentation which is pretty scant. Are there plans to release a more in-depth guide to the parameters of the various modules?

Thanks folks!
Held: AGC! Damn... why is it there?
It shouldn't be there
. It doesn't make any sense literally, since the input is supposed to be some dry mic, who's level is irrelevant... Oh well, I'll kill that!

There are huge changes in output volume when changing parameters. I would really prefer to have a way to easily fix that.MeldaProduction wrote: Mon Jun 05, 2023 10:51 am Held: AGC! Damn... why is it there? It shouldn't be there

Here it won't work I'm afraid. And in fact in many cases it is a GOOD thing that the volume changes. In fact it's usually the point.

The only downside for me in MDrumStrip is huge latency for some devices. Hard to use when composing, and I`m composing 95% of the time.

Acoustic Drums also doesn't look too good, with this guy about to slam the drums in rock or heavy metal style. Why 'categorize' somehow the plugins' features by putting people's pictures in the GUI ? Looks so Walmart-cheap.jan-sandahl wrote: Wed Jun 07, 2023 1:27 pm- Yes pretty, pretty, pretty PLEASE with sugar on top! That jumping guy is SERIOUSLY off putting! As with the 'rainbow' I use Bitwig so I have my own default presets, although I still think that showing people in a GUI for musical plugins that can be used in a lot of contexts is a terrible idea. Would you put Rastafari picture in the GUI of a delay ?

Some graphic design choices are very poor - which is a pity for top notch products. Like hastily thrown in stock photos.

He he ... all those comments through the years in music-related social medias about how 'difficult' the Melda interface was ... and now that there are 'easy screens' the 'easy' style is going over the top being 'easy' and makes some go straight back to the Edit mode

I really don't get it. Are you going to release a proper tutorial on how to use this plugin? I can't figure out how to use it properly. It seems completely different from anything else you've released so far.MeldaProduction wrote: Wed Jun 07, 2023 12:06 pm Here it won't work I'm afraid. Edit: Never mind, I found the product page. I was trying to use it on individual tracks as a part of my normal processing chain and was getting pretty good (creative) results. But I guess I'm not supposed to use it like that. That's too bad because I really like it.
But if the output levels keep jumping around and AGC gets removed, I don't know how practical it's going to be.
