I had problems with them a few years ago, also because of the activation, I don't know how many emails I sent in the end they answered me and solved it, but from that day I said I would not buy a plugin from them anymore.

I had a problem activating Ohmboyz Infinity, and while slow, they did solve my problem… sort of. He just gave me a different serial number, as the original didn’t work. My personal feelings are that I would not spend another penny on them. I don’t know what’s going on there, but it’s no way to run a business.

Wow, so this was recently? I have sent them probably 10+ emails in the last 2 months and have gotten crickets.zerocrossing wrote: Wed Jul 12, 2023 1:26 pmI had a problem activating Ohmboyz Infinity, and while slow, they did solve my problem… sort of. No. This was when they first started selling Infinity. I was one of the suckers who gave them the benefit of the doubt.liquify wrote: Sun Jul 16, 2023 12:04 amWow, so this was recently? Ugh, count me as someone who bought the entire collection of their plugins 15+ years ago. I haven't really used them in the last 5 years because they obviously stopped development on them. For the first 8 years they were super responsive, always updating, but IMO they hit some code gold with selling parts of their online collaboration software to other businesses. This is IMO the downside to software plug ins, there's always the possibility that a company folds or finds a better income source. Just a guess, but this is still up, would be interesting to see how fast they respond to inquiries for this business.

I've never needed any support outside of re registering old stuff. The 5 plugins of theirs I own still work fine and when I needed a hand fixing the registration on an updated laptop they were quick and easy to work with. I don't know how much they're doing to keep up with more heavy duty changes like apple silicon, but they are still around for simple support and I have no problems running their stuff on any of my windows systems.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

People grow, situations change, circumstances change - you don't want to run a plugin company anymore, let alone provide support and customer aftercare - that's understandable, but for the love of Allan please stop taking people's money.dayjob wrote: Tue Jun 13, 2023 7:43 pm I used to be in touch with the guy running it but he’s not responding. Yeah, my main issue is that there are still sites selling licenses to their plugins (including their own).MogwaiBoy wrote: Mon Jul 17, 2023 6:57 amPeople grow, situations change, circumstances change - you don't want to run a plugin company anymore, let alone provide support and customer aftercare - that's understandable, but for the love of Allan please stop taking people's money.dayjob wrote: Tue Jun 13, 2023 7:43 pm I used to be in touch with the guy running it but he’s not responding. sad loss too, unique stuff, even now some of the stuff is irreplaceable
we need more devs with ideas outside the norm.

Wonder if they would be willing to make their plugins open source but I doubt it. They had some great stuff back in the day, recently went to their website and it looked updated - with new versions working on Mac latest OS or so it claimed. Their other site ohm studio.com is dead. Shame I was looking forward to trying their latest version of infinity.

My guess is they’re all busy with other jobs and couldn’t care less about their business. I mean, they have to have some other source of income. I doubt another company would want to deal with the possible mess their code base is for not much possible reward. Open sourcing it would be nice, but again, that’s an effort and it seems like they’re not even willing to provide an email response to their current customers.MilksterX wrote: Mon Jul 17, 2023 2:49 pm Wonder if they would be willing to make their plugins open source but I doubt it.
