The hardware has the following algorithms:-
100 - Diatonic Shift
101 - Layered Shift
102 - Dual Shift
103 - Stereo Shift
104 - Reverse Shift
105 - Swept Combs
106 - Swept Reverb
107 - Reverb Factory
108 - Ultra Tap
109 - Long Digiplex
110 - Dual Digiplex
111 - Patch Factory
112 - Stutter
113 - Timesqueeze
114 - Dense Room
115 - Vocoder
116 - Multi-Shift
117 - Band Delay
118 - String Modeller
119 - Phaser
120 - Studio Sampler
121 - Studio Sampler
122 - Modfactory One
123 - Modfactory Two
Eventide are alittle vague on the subject, they describe the H3000 Factory as 'a re-creation of several key algorithms from the H3000 Ultra-Harmonizer'.
It appears the H3000 Factory is a combination of the Patch Factory and Modfactory One & Two algorithms.

I'm confused - why are you quoting me?chk071 wrote: Tue Oct 31, 2023 4:23 pmSurely can't hurt if it sounds similar though.jens wrote: Tue Oct 31, 2023 7:35 amOP specifically said "I'm not asking to mimic the '80s converters or specific programs ".zerocrossing wrote: Tue Oct 31, 2023 5:14 amThe H3000 Factory plugin is only some of the algorithms and not any of the analog components. Still, it can sound very similar on the right presets.

the H3000 Mod Factory is some of the algorthms from the H3000. No reverb but delays, modulation stuff. There is also the seperate H3000 Band Delays and Micro Pitch..oh and I think Crystals is also H3000 derived. So 4 plugins and I know some of the chorus / delay presets from the H3000 aren't in there.
The H3000 Mod Factory is pretty complicated and I don't enjoy creating presets on it. My feeeling is if you are wanting to create the H3000 sounds you are either going to have some fairly difficult preset creation work within one complex programme or you will be programming several plugins in a chain.
The Eventide plugins are great..so are the Soundtoys ones, both cover some of the ground but I'm not sure they cover it all.

Wait for Black Friday. Get Eventide.
Don’t pay $349 for one plugin. That’s about what I paid for the entire Anthology.

THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Trying out some demos - the H3000 Factory suffered going 1:1 with the real thing even when comparing presets that it does have. That could be up to any number of things (balancing levels when coming in and out, the increased RTL latency effecting sound, etc.) but I didn't dig it. It seemed harsh somehow.
The H949 Eventide plugin is more limited (by nature as a single algorithm) but I love it, that's a solid 70% of the H3000 magic for me so that's going on the shopping list.
Soundtoys Effects Rack also sounds really good - not quite the high-quality preset setup and I don't like Crystalizer much but that sort of algorithm is my least used element of the H3K too.
The other ones I aim to demo are Shaperbox and Infiltrator 2 - they seem to be focused heavily on the automation aspect and being laid over existing beats/sections to add glitchiness so I'm curious how they hold up just as multieffects.
