Of course, the suggestion to open the lyrics PDFs in a new tab
- first suggested by "seismic1" - is long overdue. We have now
implemented it on September 1st: The lyrics for ALL songs now
open in a new tab and can be followed in parallel while listening.

Our goal is to provide every listener or visitor to our website
with the best possible experience! :)

Thank you seismic1 - for your really useful suggestion! :tu:

The mix is very good overall. With respect to the drums, the kick drum is pretty low in the mix and the cymbals sound kind of lo-fi.

I looked up the story that inspired it and see there was further character development for the son. However, I understand there is only so much you can fit into the lyrics of a rock song.

Nice work! :tu:
Thank you Frantz!

Hmm, yes - we will take another look at the drums and
especially the cymbals.

The lyrics are more or less based on the short story "All
the Years of Her Life" by Morley Callaghan. Callaghan's
story is more about the mother who invests all her energy
in her son - but has now reached an age where she is no
longer able to do so. The son has to stand on his own two
feet and take responsibility for his own actions.

There is not enough room in the song for so many lines of
lyrics, so we will limit ourselves to the situation when the
mother, Mrs. Beauty, impresses the shopkeeper who was
robbed.

I've got some catching up to do on enroe songs. Very nice contrast between the verses and chorus. The strings add interest to the verses. The first line of the chorus has a catchy soaring quality. Great guitar melody around 3:20. Cool song!

I think the first line of the lyrics in the pdf doesn't quite match the song. In the song I hear "He took out two tubes of toothpaste, the cassette, and the deco box." What has become of the blue compact? ;)

Thank you, Genetic_Junk!

Oops, there really was an error in the lyrics PDF! You listened
very carefully: "The compact" was suppressed! We have not
updated the lyrics PDF at this point: Genetic_Junk - You are an
extremely attentive listener, oooaaa! Very much appreciated,
thank you! :hyper:

Interesting track and lyrics... I ask myself what happened later...
Are Mr. Karr und Ms. Beau singles? Is Mr. Karr just lonely?
Very creative. But at the same time a bit strange ... at least for me :)
it is better to have a track with some mistakes than a track without any soul
myself in 2022

I imagine that telling the second part of the story would require a complete change of mood and atmosphere, which would take you in a completely different musical direction.

Good work :)
Ooh, I forgot the reply to you.

Yes, exactly, the main (=verse) part has very unusual chord changes, so keeping it together is
important here. Did it work out well? Maybe.

The story is vaguely based on the short story "All the Years of her Life" by Morley Callaghan. We have
chosen the moment when Mrs. Beau, the mother, makes a very charming impression on Mr. Karr. So Mr.
Karr has to decide how he will deal with the incident.

seismic1, thanks for your feedback!

Of course, the story continues somehow. Mrs. Beau makes
an incredible impression on Mr. Karr - and maybe they will
become lovers?

In the story story "All the Years of her Life" by Morley
Callaghan however, it is not like that: Mrs. Beau puts all
her energy into freeing her son from police persecution.
And this is actually the last time she can muster this energy.
Her son has to stand on his own two feet now, has to grow
up now. 8)

We all go through different developmental scenarios,
different stages of understanding and self-awareness.
And this often involves help from others and amazement.
Yeah, the amazement of Mr. Karr!

Thank you tomtom-one! :hyper:
