MusicTribe has the absolute worst tech support.
They respond with literal gibberish, which they simply repeat with every subsequent reply until you finally give up.
Behringer has completely destroyed the once world-class TC Electronic. They are a non-company now.
Behringer is a scourge on humanity.

Cuz THIS.....get a clue. Don't support evil. Oh...and non-existent support, (and likely no future development) for something as vital as a DAW is a no-brainer.

Reaper (and Ableton) works for me (not everybody, but there's other great choices).

Expectation of consumer class support on a freebie is somewhat up one's own arse, no? Having said that, I do agree that Behringer support is pretty poor. They should be slagged for it. But a freebie? Entitled somewhat?

It’s what they’ve done to the formerly respected companies that they’ve ransacked that I care about. After I paid good money for good products, Behringer (MusicTribe) gutted them and left them for dead.
Behringer itself is worthless and always has been. But that wasn’t the case for TC Electronic.

I assume these TC products still work? Or if not, how did Behringer make them suddenly stop working?
But everyone has their naughty list for companies and that's fine. Personally I won't touch Sony or PACE, but others seem happy to sleep with the devil. Behringer is a devil I'm extremely happy to sleep with. And they're very much not worthless - probably one of the more successful companies in audio gear nowadays and likely worth a LOT. Always great value, great gear mostly...as for their DAW, who knows? None of us, because it's not out yet. It could be the best DAW ever coded (highly unlikely I admit...

Their free synth was such a game changer, I’ve got extraordinarily high hopes for their free DAW.
They should completely copy Live’s look and feel, but give it the functionality of a DAW from the 90s!

TC plugins are badly in need of GUI resize. But with Behringer owning TC, it’s very likely they will whither on the vine. This seems to be the case so far. Behringer is like a slumlord that doesn’t take care of its properties or its customers.kritikon wrote: Sat Aug 17, 2024 6:07 am I assume these TC products still work? Behringer is just one massive city-sized Chinese sweatshop. The company exists purely on exploitation and always has. People who don’t grasp that, or worse, don’t care, are as irredeemable as the company and the villain who owns it.

The air must be so rare up there on that spectactularly high horse that I'd be careful not to get altitude sickness. And of course anyone who doesn't agree with my viewpoint must be economically and emotionally illiterate. There we go, I like this game.

With the kind of hate Behringer receives by some, you'd think they'd be guilty of war-crimes or something, rather than hugely supporting the democratization of the music-making industry as they keep doing for decades now.
But yeah, I kinda get how the dude who spent two grand on a battered Solina is kinda pissed that his neighbour who works down the street in the supermarket, has a much-too-cute GF and can't even play very well, just got a new one with a built-in Small Stone for 200bucks...

A company cannot be a company without some level of exploitation. Society itself is built on exploitation.jamcat wrote:The company exists purely on exploitation and always has.
The only villains are consumers. No consumers = no play field for companies to have their game.People who don’t grasp that, or worse, don’t care, are as irredeemable as the company and the villain who owns it.
