BioTek 3 crashing

I don't know if this could help on a MAC... but... this for Linux

I've just removed "ubuntu-restricted-extras" and re-installed it

reinstallation will add/install "ttf-mscorefonts-installer"

"ubuntu-restricted-extras" recommends "lib-avcodec-extra" so... I went ahead and installed that... et voila!

Biotek 3 does not crash anymore! It works in Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS

it's crashing again.
3.0.8 was working fine for me and then they updated to 3.1.1 and now Logic won't validate it.
Unreal how unstable this has been. I have emailed and no response after a couple of days.

I got a response by posting to Tracktion's facebook page, but it still took a while to actually get to the developer.

Meanwhile, I was able to narrow down my particular issue to a subset of 23 the factory presets by Alessandro Cardinale which were hanging on loading into Biotek 3, and the only way out is to force quit my DAW (Digital Performer, lates version).

So, I took those presets out of the folder and stashed them, now I have no problems...but, I can't use those presets...

3.1.1 did not solve the issue.

No, it validated fine, it just would hang/crash when trying to load those presets.

Oh you are using Digital Performer. In Logic no go. I don't understand why they don't make sure it works on everything before sending out an update?

why use this supplement called Biotek 3!!!
The complete supplement! It is super simple and works well! I don't understand those people who use the supplement and ask for help on how to swallow it?
